You can flip coins and roll dice in such a way as to increase the odds of getting what you want. Not perfectly, obviously, but to a significant degree.

But I did practice die to the point of guessing what # its likely going on by the feel and sounds it makes as well as angles which I drop it

don't think i've lost anything from an actual coin toss

i have lost a couple grands worth of virtual gold through duel arena staking on oldschool runescape. the max main naked tentacle whip staking is 50/50 like a coin toss.

Only time I ever made a bet, I was 100% sure and still lost. My dastardly mother evidently changed her mind about what we were having for dinner.

Having a 100% chance and still losing is the kind of thing that even 30 years later makes me refuse to participate in gambling.

There was also the time I won a raffle but the ticket got lost in the lining of my jacket. When I finally found the ticket hours later, yep, that was the number. To date the only time I've ever won anything, lol.

This is literally impossible. If you lost, there was always a possibility for it to happen.

Recognizing patterns. If you flip a bunch of heads, that means there's a better chance that the next one is tails because eventually it has to be.

You can't guess whether the next coin flip will be tails simply on the basis of prior flips being heads, regardless of how many prior flips were heads.

Also it just doesn't make sense as an explanation, in the context of gambling on a coin flip.
