Roleblocking him was an unessccary move when there are so many things that can ultra confirm him scum or town.... like getting a guilty scan today!

You know damn well Blade would find any excuse to say Ulti bussed his teammate if Ulti got a guilty scan and wouldn't shut up about it.

I'd like to see Blade argue that Ulti is scum now.

Also mostly just holding onto my horses because ctes needs to have shit to say.

One more thing I need Death's explanation for...

He made two votes at the end of the day. Both of them he claimed were to avoid a tie. I thought it was odd he said that for both votes. That implies there is someone on the lynch that is tied that he specifially does NOT want to die, since ties kill a random person.

The first time he voted, it was for me, and the votes were this.

If scum has a passive role locker then that person should been sending kills after wall died

It could explain leaving Kirby alive but why is MZero dead

MZero should not have been able to taunt a kill of they had passive roleblocker

i actually think voting explicitly to avoid a tie is even worse than mistakenly voting into a tie anyway lmao

that's straight up sideline behavior

On my lists of 3 I'm really only confident about the first 2 in each category. Chang and Kirby def town, Red and Ben most likely scum with MI a distant 3rd (and Ulti/Death a close 4th)

Ctes and IGCD just kind of in the middle. Role meta dictates IGCD should be town and we don't have a claim from Ctes yet to really gauge, but he has that inno scan and maybe he'll be able to vote again today? :shrug:

I can't recall ever feeling any special towny way about IGCD this game. imo he has "uncountered vigi" going for him and not much else. He doesn't even have to particularly give thoughts because he is bound by his sidequest, which is something he can lean on for yet another day.

Also kirby the gist of it is that ulti essentially claimed a role that is on a timer and instead of letting that timer tick down you went for the hero play.

That igcd isn't a gambitting type, mostly.

But none of igcd's role is the least bit confirmed.

Nor is town killing power a necessity in the setup, especially with scum numbers ambiguous.

Even so Kirby isn't scum unless he's scum backup who took Knightz' role, and immediately used it to bus a scummate.

Like the game is themed heavily on the corpse investigation and the scum doppelganger. A role that doesn't play into that for most of the game is actually out of place.

The IGCD clear is based upon the player. Not the role. And at least imo, the lack of interest in attacking him for 3p when the role he claims fits perfectly as a 3p setup.

Kirby is saying the fact that roleblocking Ulti didn't stop the kill is the same as an inno scan on ulti.

Which is wrong. Just like roleblocking MI the previous night didn't stop the kill isn't a guarantee of innocence.

BUT the one thing it actually did is proved that Kirby actually has a roleblock unless Ulti and Kirby are exactly scummates. Ulti claimed to be blocked before Kirby admitted to Jailing him. Prior to this we only had the Wallz Jail claim (which could have been a bus) and 2x vanilla jail claims.

So it isn't nothing, but it's less than a proper cop scan.

Do we know if ctes was vote locked again with Ulti's block?

The fact that he did go for me instead of red drives me absolutely fucking insane. He is avoiding scanning red blatantly

let's say you jailed Ulti.
let's say there was no kill.

Couldn't that mean scum tried to kill Ulti?

So in that scenario do you announce that you protected a kill, or do you try to nail Ulti to the wall? It's ambiguous regardless of outcome.

I didn't put ulti in my 3 since it felt like he was going to have a guilty scan on red. Then when he was blocked I got paranoid it was all fake. Now we know he was blocked and I'm back to my original thoughts.

Yeah, he's the only unclaimed everyone knows about my pineapples so it seemed like the natural thing to do. I couldn't think of any more clever ways to use the mechanic to catch someone lying. I guess I thought maybe Kirby would jail me? The NK targets have been strange so the protection would be nice and I don't have an important action that's hurt by it.

It's the same logic that dictates Kirby SHOULD be jailing chang every night. His ass is town 99.99% of the time and his action was a day action that already occurred.

But nobody listens to FD and so everyone is swinging for the fences instead of laying down a productive bunt.
