You know what it is for me?

CE just moves too fast. Their topic on the Trump Trials is actually pretty good overall. But the board as a whole feels like it's 2x or 3x as big as B8 and things get shuffled along to page 2 way too quickly.

(but thank you for at least confirming the mod staff also agrees about Fuck Fandom)

Of the remaining GameFAQs regulars (there are probably still a few thousand of us left), I'd be surprised if a single non-troll *didn't* share in this opinion. Even the couple of people on the Fandom payroll like DToast probably wish they were working with another community.

I wonder how much longer these protests can last. I feel like in 40 years they will be on t he right side of history, but right now they are going to get hammered.

It doesn't since I don't think any judge has the balls to pull the trigger, but after the acknowledgement that the maximum allowable fines are of no deterrence, what else could they do?

A Jewish University of Wisconsin-Madison student, who was on campus when police moved in Wednesday morning, told CNN the campus protest was "peaceful" until the police showed up.

damn

who would've guessed

Maybe a few bad apples all find their way to the same barrel and are the only barrel that can be used.

There's too many quotes in here that are jaw-dropping but I'll include this one because it's almost funny:
In 2013, Robbins Police Chief Mel Davis was fired after state officials discovered that the law enforcement credentials of his hand-picked internal affairs investigator, Douglas J. Smith, were phony. Smiths materials included a photograph of the badge that fictional character Sgt. Joe Friday used in the television show Dragnet.

Just started reading but had to quote this
For most officers, such an offense would end their careers.
What country does this author live in? Because it definitely isn't the US if he believes that (this was in regards to an officer lying about having sex with an 18 year old repeatedly while on duty)

I feel like they originally had "for most working adults" but got pushback and had to change it. The entire article is about how doing horrible things as a cop DOESN'T end your career, you just go somewhere else that is desperate enough to take you.
