They will fail, Fire Emblem had to do it constantly once Awakening put that in even Engage despite Alear being the most asexual person ever has the option to bang their army

All of the Persona romantic/sexual relationships were just mostly inferred anyway. Granted maybe some are more "intense" I wouldn't know. I remember deciding to ask out Kasumi in Royal just because wth and it's not like much happens. I otherwise was friend zoning people left and right that run.
