Or can be salvaged 79.07% (34 votes) 34 No just leave it alone. It's probably dirty and worth more trouble than it's worth 20.93% (9 votes) 9 I assume it's broken but who knows. Should I pick it up and see if it works/being it to a hardware repair place? Or just leave it Maybe it can be modded? Requires soldering though. The repair guys also said they're not going to charge me anything since it works and they didn't have to do anything so I'm happy about that too. I asked them what's the best way to prevent potential Red Ring of Death errors in the future, they Said I just have to keep it cool and well ventilated because it's mainly an overheating issue. They also said if I did want them to open it up and apply thermal paste to see if it would keep it cooler long term they could do that but it would be $100. I just decided to keep everything as is and save my money. I'm pretty happy overall, pretty cool I lucked into this system. I also always wanted to pay Modern Warfare back in the day but never had the chance so maybe this can be my first experience.
