No.

I dislike sci-fi. I dislike space settings. I dislike military themes. The only way this series could be more unappealing to me would be make it first person.

I understand its a popular series and many people love the first couple games. I dont doubt its quality but it just has too much going for it I dislike. Ill never play it.

I legit tried 3 or 4 times to get into it and I just couldn't bring myself to finish it.

I loved 1-3. I wasn't even a hater of 3 at all. Andromeda was just off somehow.

nah, i played the ME legendary collection all the way through about 2 years ago, and it didnt age well at all. By the time i was done, i had less than zero interest in continuing onto andromeda.

I played it probably around d a year after it came out. So I did not have to deal with all the glitches and shit other had

I enjoyed the game, but it is clearly the weakest in the series. But I would still recomend people to check it out

Yeah. It's not horrible...just below the other ME games in most categories. You can still have fun with it, though -- by using Drack and Vetra and ignoring the other clowns.

Like much of Mass Effect 3 and onward, the premise of the game doesn't make sense. They refer to your character as the Pathfinder. However, by the time you arrive, there are fully functional colonies already established. They are operating so well that there are already crime syndicates with fully operational bases.

Legendary Edition

The only DLC you dont get in LE, is the one DLC playstation never got anyways.

I dont consider Andromeda an irredeemable trashfire, but it sure as hell isnt as good as the trilogy, thats for sure.

On the topic of tired faces... apparently if you cry for long enough, your jaw muscles start hurting.

Played and beat it last year. Honestly a solid 8/10. A perfect example of how important it is to get a game in a quality state at launch. It really doesn't deserve the hate anymore.

It had pretty decent gunplay, but all else was mediocre and the dialogue just cringe, and thats supposed to be one of Biowares strongest points.

I grabbed it from a Redbox when it first released and beat it, but I'll be honest, I barely remember anything about it. Literally the only party member I can recall is the quirky asari that annoyed the heck out of me. I can't even tell you what the story was beyond the initial premise, yet have no trouble remembering the original trilogy. Maybe I should try to replay it the next time I have access to it (if it was free at some point, I might have it on Origin, but if not, I'll give it a shot next time I get Game Pass Ultimate).

Then again, I recently replayed through the Dragon Age series and while I had no trouble with the first two (I'm probably one of the few crazies that like DAII), I barely got into Inquisition before stopping because it was too tedious and grindy for me, and I want to say I remember Andromeda being a bit similar to it in style when it came to quests/missions.

I 100%d (well it didn't update right so I was stuck at like 99.8/99.9%) Andromeda in 2020 and I can barely tell you fuck all about it <_<

Cant blame you, i have 2 playthroughs under my belt, and i still dont remember the second half of the game very well

The first game i have more glimpses off... but thats also the "Good" part of the game

As soon as the Kett starts taking a presense in the story it just... feels like it takes a nosedive

The exploration and mystery is fun, the kett... not so much.

Also shoulda had the option of playing as any of the pathfinders, coulda done something ala Dragon Age Origins, select race and origin, then play through that.

Path of divergence being which pathfinder finds their way to homebase on their own or some shit.

Decided to try it out on gamepass a few years ago and I was actually enjoying it. That universe is to good to just abandon I hope ME4 takes off.

I bought it a few years ago and tried to play it but...fuck open world.

Mass Effect doesn't work as an open world game.

The gunplay/skills were fine and fun...but running around a barren map with random mountains and hills in the way to purposefully force you to go the long way around all while staring at barren wastelands.

I'm good on that.

I did enjoy being a Sentinel. Having every power i used be a primer AND a detonator was pretty fun. Made power spam in any order very satisfying.

I haven't played any ME game, really. I did play the planet scouting mini-game or whatever at one point, where you're shooting probes at a planet. Never played more than that. (i think that was ME, could be wrong, it was over at a friends house, well over a decade ago)
