He's been altering the timeline in seemingly insignificant ways for decades but what is his goal? Are these small changes the spearhead of larger changes in the future or has he already made the big changes and these smaller ones are just ripples that we can see? Is he trying to erase something or create something new?

I don't know, but I trust him.

Some people just want to watch the world burn. Some just have... eclectic ways to accomplish this. Just be glad that he uses his power to change logos and not anything truly monstrous.

That's the thing. We don't know the limit to his power and machinations. Maybe we used to live in a world where no one had ever conceived of putting pineapple on pizza but he took that away and we forgot.

Mandela's just busy making a perfect, flawless timeline where nobody will ever have to suffer again. But to achieve it, he has to fracture off every last possibility of something going wrong into a separate and ultimately doomed timeline. Once his timeline is finally what it should be, all others, including the one we inhabit right now, will be erased, as will all of their inhabitants, such that they never existed in the first place.

^Should one man, even one so benevolent and well meaning as Nelson Mandela, have that much power?

all of you are mistaken. the mandela affect has to do with the mandala pattern, like the flower or lotus design. it has nothing to do with Nielsen Mandelbrot who is the creator of the Nielsen Rating System for TV show viewership.
