There was a time when it felt like every Happy Madison movie was just going through the motions, and was little more than an excuse for Sandler to take his family and friends on a free vacation somewhere. Sometimes they might have one really great idea but the rest of the movie is boring (like Dunkaccino in Jack and Jill). But in the last five years or so, it does feel like they're actually putting in real effort to make movies with a lot of jokes that are genuinely funny. They're not as good as the 90s movies but still pretty funny. Also I think Happy Gilmore was the most successful they've ever been at making a likeable character out of the Adam Sandler comedy persona. --- "It's Dyin' time."
