Anything following the phrase 'Trump says' immediately registers as white noise to me. The only possible exception to this would be "I withdraw my candidacy."

As a general rule of thumb, if Trump is saying something that's even slightly reasonable, he's lying through his teeth. If what he's saying is beyond insane, like how he wants to be a dictator, or how his administration is going to criminalize everyone who ever opposed him, he's telling the truth.

So, needless to say, I fully expect that if he manages to score a second term (and the odds of that happening are way too high for my liking, especially considering just how badly he fucked up the country in his previous term, both deliberately and through negligence), a federal total abortion ban bill will reach his desk before January 31st, and he'll rubber-stamp it without even a hint of complaint.

any abortion bans are happening because trump put religious nutjobs on scotus. that needs to be the main attack ad played on repeat by the biden campaign and whatever superpacs. if given the chance he will put more of them on there and risk banning interracial marriages and generally people losing more rights

Yep. He actually has it right for once but these are not his true feelings. He only feels it went to far because it is now hurting him not because of any feelings he has on abortion.

Lol it's amazing how the day-to-day happenings on this has really fucked him over. And it's going to continue doing so until the election.

But hey, he finally gave a terse "no" before storming off when asked about a national abortion ban.

Which, y'know, dude lies more than the Biblical Devil, so it means nothing.
