finally its official. Traditionally membership was only required for indoor food court locations and not outdoor ones so outdoor ones are finally dropping the hammer.

Damn, looks like Sam's Club will start winning this competition.

Never been to Costco, but is the food court super cheap or something? If not I don't see the benefit of doing this since non members can spend their lunch money somewhere else.

Well they're famous for never raising the price of a hotdog beyond 1.50, however Sam's Club has similar prices.

Overall their food courts is surprisingly affordable and the quality of the food isn't bad.

It's incredible value for the price you pay honestly. Horribly unhealthy but for 2 bucks you can't get a better, bigger and tastier slice of pizza for example. 59 cent cups of soda when cans are selling in vending machines for a buck. $1.50 hot dog/soda combo. 10 bucks for a whole pie that feeds a family of 4.

Hopefully. As a card member its annoying to deal with a whole family trying to order and dip before I do honestly.

But how is this enforced? Non-members can already enter with members, so will they check your card at the food court? I always order on the kiosk and take it to the table for my gf and I. I'll just say I'm eating both. This rubs me the wrong way.

A guy I used to live with was a caterer and I'd always get that when we'd shop at Costco for catering stuff

Oh I misread that it's only at the impacted food courts. Not sure if those are all outdoor ones or not.

I don't think they mind given that the profit margin on a $1.50 hot dog can't possibly be that great.
