This game released in 2016, and there's a new Dragon Ball game coming out soon... But instead of focusing on making people want to buy that, they're still releasing DLC for this nearly 8 year old game.

Has any other title ever lasted this long? This is kind of incredible.

Rock Band 4 released weekly tracks for nine years, the longest stretch of the series. If you count songs going back to Rock Band 1 (since all DLC is forwards compatible) then it had a 17-year run of DLC, not counting the two-year hiatus between 3 and 4.

Kind of unexpected. But it is also being released on newer consoles now.

That's a good call. Rock Band's DLC is a LOT less involved than Xenoverse's, but it's still a fantastic note.

I love games being supported for so long.

Are any of the new Parallel Quests unique at this point?
Last I checked it was a bunch of missions piling you with all the strongest GT/Super characters.

Dwarf Fortress and Nethack are still getting updates iirc

Wish they'd add stuff from the Super manga but I guess there must be a licensing issue

The game doesn't even work on my PC it's so old. That's actually incredible that it's getting new DLC.

Yeah, I did notice they're currently kinda doubling backwards on anime stuff. I bet they don't have licensing for the, so far, manga-exclusive stuff.

I bet they'll add characters that are present in the new Budokai but aren't in Xenoverse, such as Bergamo, since it appears they can't actually move forward to match the manga.

Eh, I'd argue that doesn't really count. They've only supported the online stuff, the main game itself hasn't really received support at all. Same thing for Red Dead Online.

It'd be like saying older Call of Duty games receive support because they support Warzone.

Ultra Supervillain is the name of this form, it appears to give you crystal like eyes and a crystal is embedded in your heart that likely will grow in size as Fu did say that the form is still not perfect.

The possibility of the CAC getting the form seems to be either slim or until Fu works out the kinks

Character wise Ultra Supervillain Super Saiyan God Vegeta and Ultra Supervillain Super Saiyan Rose Goku Black will be DLC characters with this episode when it releases.

Now for the rumor mill

In May Xenoverse 2 will come to modern consoles and with it a new update to the TP medal system, Super TP medals will be a new currency that you can only get by doing something specific, this will not supersede the current TP medals but odds are rare costumes, moves, artworks and other goodies will be locked behind this currency much like how much of Breakers customization content is locked behind the gacha system that requires real money to use.

A recent filing for Goku Rose Black was found after a recent update for Goku Black involving his scythe, this is likely for the new Ultra Supervillain Rose Goku Black character just like how Ultra Supervillain Super Saiyan God Vegeta has that new giant ki ball attack you saw in the trailer.

Now as for the story, obviously what we're viewing here is an alternate scenario where Vegeta becomes a Super saiyan God instead of Goku to fight Beerus just like the Rose Goku Black scenario has Zamasu still Goku's body and is seemingly only stopped from killing him is by the assistance of Hit, Caulifla, Cabba and Kale from Universe 6 after the Tournament of Power.

Skullgirls just got another DLC character added a few days ago. It came out in 2012.

Ooh, another good one. I know Skullgirls is a case where they wanted the DLC to be out a lot sooner, but things got delayed due to the legal battles, but... Screw it, I love it, anyway. More of this. They could have just canceled the remaining DLC, like similar games have, but they didn't.

Dragon Ball games as a while don't have licensing for DBS manga stuff. Iirc they also don't have licensing for stuff like voice lines so they have to rerecord those.

Yeah, it makes sense, the more you think about it. There's probably a reason the new Budokai game included a focus on Bergamo, of all characters, as a new addition to the series.

This part isn't a bad thing at least in the sense that I would rather the lines be freshly recorded for the game instead of being recycled
