I'm loving how wild the descriptions have been for their videos lately. Rich realizing what they're likely going to do with a certain character at the end was great.

Will watch later, Andor is my favorite Star Wars property and I do enjoy their insights.

I agree with their point that it shouldn't have been called "Andor". Probably one of the biggest reasons it underperformed IMO.

they just had to make it tie-in with an existing character or idea. Cassian himself is probably the least interesting character in the show.

I disagree on that. He's the most "regular dude existing within the system" that the series has ever shown. Like when he killed those corporate guards, it was out of self-preservation, not because he's some homicidal sith/Imperial officer cruel desire.

Also how he gets used as a pawn that just wanted to be a mercenary and ends up actually believing in the cause.

The whole stuff about them being from a planet that if I'm not mistaken was genocided of their people, making his origin so mysterious. Not sure how I feel about that, hoping there's more to it for it to really make an impact beyond "Empire genocided my race". Yeah, sure, but they've done that before. I'm hoping there's something more, I guess.

I agree with your other 2 points, but the last point it wasn't so much genocide but the fact that the planet Andor came from was environmentally destroyed by the empire because because of a mining disaster they caused and abandon it as is. The whole point was to show how the empire treats things under its rule, where they insert themselves in everything like eroding customs and cultures of the indigenous people of a planet and unjustly arresting people for whatever reasons, which is suppose to be ironic because that's how Andor got arrested and not because of his involvement with the heist. The whole main point of the show is to show what actually sucks about the Empire and why people actually want to rebel against them.

Yeah, I'm honestly shocked just how good of a show Andor was and how pissed I was I didn't watch it day 1. And it wasn't really nonsense, the show wasn't really in your face about getting it's point across because it was a show don't tell kind of series. I had someone on a different forum explained to me what was the purpose of Andors childhood flashbacks.

I appreciate that and same. I think it was episode 2 or 3 where I was already super invested because of how different it is from every other SW product/storyline. So many unexplored aspects of life under the Empire and unconventional/behind-the-scenes characters making things happen. Learning about different cultures on other worlds

Reminder these three creeps told lies about the Prequels and helped usher in the hate movement that drove Lucas away, and now the same people are crying about Disney "ruining" Star Wars and want Lucas back. They acted as if Kit Fisto can't be a Jedi because he has tentacled hair, obviously never hearing of the suspension of disbelief; Obi-Wan and Quigon splitting up is bad somehow even though it makes perfect sense for one of them to reach Naboo alive; and that having a quiet drama scene after a hefty action scene is bad even though it's an old trope.

They use a bloated running time, shitty jokes (ironic considering their hatred of Jar Jar), and lies about filmmaking to present themselves as intellectuals rivalling Roger Ebert. Their exercise in pretending that Prequel characters have no motivations or characteristics is one of the biggest BS I've seen.

Then they discovered they can get money from Prequel haters so they carried on the crap, later making a video "psychoanalysing" George Lucas to present him as a bad filmmaker akin to Ed Wood, and claimed that JJ Abrams could make a better Star Wars movie. Rise of Skywalker says hi!

I'm not gonna watch this shit but I assume it's a glowing review of the greatest piece of star wars media ever made
