Solomon Pea lost a New Mexico state house election 2022. This jackass decided to show up at the houses of 4 different state officials with documents that he thought were evidence that he actually won. As you would expect, this wasnt successful. Instead of accepting his loss, he organized a plot to have people do drive by shootings at their houses. Solomon Pea also participated in one of the drive by shootings himself.

Original charges:

Pea, Demetrio Trujillo, and Jose Trujillo are charged with conspiracy, interference with federally protected activities, and several firearms offenses, including the use of a machine gun. If convicted, Pea faces a mandatory minimum of 60 years in prison. Jose Trujillo was also charged with possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and firearms offenses, including possession of a machine gun.

Between November 12, 2022, and January 3,2023, Pea actually tried to have his accomplices killed, so now hes facing even more charges. Holy shit, man.

This guy is such an enthusiastic Republican he's way ahead of the GOP schedule regarding how to deal with election losses.

Trump gave all these dangerous loons an example to follow, so here we are.

Also worth noting the election he lost wasn't even close. It was a heavily Democratic district where Pea got 2,033 votes to his opponent's 5,679. But election denial is at the point where even losing in landslide is just taken as evidence of how 'brazen' the supposed fraud is.

This is an extreme example of what happens when willful stupidity is allowed to flourish. It really is time for every sane person to call out stupid lying right wing assholes at every reasonable opportunity.

I am not sure it's stupidity anymore. Like someone else pointed out above: Trump has established the template.

Republican loses, "says" the election was rigged, and then tries to kill people standing in the way of him taking office.

They know they lost, and the election is just a pretense to get what they want anyway. It's very Trump (and Putin) of them.

When they say machine fun, do they mean an AR-15, or an actual machine gun?
