Thankfully Naruto ended up with best girl Hinata

Well she kinda did change him.

Sakura was the worst character along with Sasuke.

Technically Naruto was even more I can change him, and even had the talknojutsu or whatever people call it to succeed.

He didn't change him with talknojutsu. It failed throughout the entire series on Sasuke.

He ultimately reaches him because through their final fight their hearts connect and he understands Naruto on a deeper level which shows him the errors of his ways, especially the scene where it pans back and forth with sasuke in the darkness and naruto in the light, Sasuke always alone, Naruto's group growing ever larger, and finally a version where Sasuke could have been there with him all along if he hadn't been such a baka.

No that was Naruto. I stopped watch that show because all it was Naruto saying.. OH I Got to save this jerkass. For some reason. Forget both of them. The show should have been just about Rock Lee.

To be fair, it failed because Naruto did not attempt to understand Sasuke on a personal level.

God damn it at the very least they should have had Orochimaru be around for the most current arcs but him being back is a waste at this point, they don't even have him react to Pervy Sage being back as a clone!

Naruto did managed to talk-no-jutsu Nagato though, that's a pretty great achievement.

To be fair, it failed because Naruto did not attempt to understand Sasuke on a personal level.

He did the best he could. A reoccurring theme in that series is that the only way to truly understand someone's pain is to have a similar pain.

During the fight at the waterfall Sasuke tells Naruto that he can't understand him because he's always been alone, whereas Sasuke had family he lost. Later one Naruto has and loses Jiraiya so he finally understands, as he tells Pain I believe.

But he still tries to talk it out after that, part of Sasuke's stubbornness is also that he was just jelly of how much growth Naruto had and how he could accomplish things he couldn't, like defeating Gaara.

They shouldve made him Hokage instead of Naruto to honor his dying wish after sacrificing himself for the village that despised him as a child. Then Sasuke spends the rest of his life doing what Naruto did as a kid, earning the trust, respect and love of the village as Hokage.
