I might go for two nights in April. Any tips? I was planning on seeing the castle and the national museum in particular

I went in 2017.

It was fun and probably the safest place to travel solo.

Majority of the tourist stuff is within walking distance if you head to Old Town, it's where the clocktower is. It's worth it to see but it's nothing spectacular. But everything for me was walking distance. I don't remember the tram schedule too much but it was easy to figure out and they were clean and timely. I was in a hotel about 20mins outside of Old Town, but never had any problems getting back and forth.

You could do a free walking tour if you have the time, they'll bring to all the spots to see and work off tips. I used Sandmans, they were awesome. I used them for all the places I went when I was in Europe.

The night life was fun! I did a bar crawl there, you meet up in Old Town and the guide takes maybe about 15 of us to different bars and we ended up in a club. Afterwards you're free to hang out or go elsewhere. I went elsewhere with a few people I met during the crawl.

I went back in 2007. I remember they had a museum about life under Soviet rule. That was my favorite thing I saw there. It had all kinds of stuff from that time, including old propaganda posters. It was interesting to see how people behind the Iron Curtain saw the west. I think I remember one poster that warned about American CIA agents sneaking into the USSR and hiding on farms. I think it depicted a soviet farmer reporting a sighting of an American on their farm. Or maybe they were killing the American with a pitchfork

i wanted to go there next week but since its high season (cause of Easter) and flights and hotels become more expensive, i'll postpone it for next month or so maybe...

Seconding the soviet museum. It was really cool. I got to hold a PPSh. Prague in general is super beautiful. I would definitely go back.

It's only a few hours away, so this probably won't be the only time I go there. This is more of a "spend a little bit of time there to see if it's worth making a longer trip down the line" visit

I was going to recommend the Apple Museum, which had lots of cool old early PCs, but apparently it shut down since I was there. Bummer.

I visited Prague in 2008 and the most memorable place I went to was the Museum of Medieval Torture if you can stomach that kind of thing.

i believe there is also a sex toy museum

It's great. Loads to see and the nightlife is fun and accessible

I'm not much of a nightlife person tbh
