I'm not saying they ruined ff7 but it was my favourite game ever before playing the remake and now its like in my top 10-20. Ff7 remake ain't even in my top 40 unfortunately. No hate to those who enjoyed it.

This meme makes zero sense.
Absolutely no one is saying the graphics are worse than the original.
Unless you mean performance mode, which is 100% a Remake-only thing and not in the OG.

In fact, the only graphics complaints in terms of complaints I usually see are from Rebirth to Remake, since apparently Rebirth looks worse in a lot of areas.

I wouldn't argue with any final fantasy or zelda fans to be honest.

Open World has reached space marine levels of generic, so when I see these sprawling graphics in this shot, instead of adding to FF7, I feel its one of the things that actually got in the way of making something better.
But no, the graphics isnt the problem by itself.

it's not like the FF7 remake was shadow dropped. if people were interested in the games, they KNEW that the gameplay would be different and that the story would not be 100% exactly like the originals. they interviewed the staff months before the game released and they confirmed all of this. mountains of video footage was released to show how the game would look. the battle system was known from almost the very start to be a real-time action battle system. this was NOT going to be the original game, and everyone knew that before the first part released.

so if these people knew about all these changes yet still bought and played the game and STILL complained about all those things, then I have no reason to take them seriously. Honestly, they are clearly hate-playing the games just to complain at this point...

and also people IN THIS TOPIC complained about the graphics, so stop saying that no one did.

They only talked about the gameplay changes. They did not mention anything at all about the story being changed like the spirits.
