do you think naruto at the time of the pain fight or sasuke at the time of the five kage summit, would win?

for me
naruto vs sasuke. while naruto was pretty smart during the pain fight, he lost and would've been captured. yeah, sage mode was cool af and i think is still naruto's best mode. also i feel like hinata and narutos relationship was shoehorned in the show. naruto dating ino would make more sense.
but naruto vs sasuke? holy shit. sasuke's 3rd tomo, naruto's cloak restoring the hole in his chest. crazy. then there's the ladder of naruto clones, fireballs, betrayal, and even a few tears were shed.

as for sage naruto vs ms sasuke? naruto stomps. not even close. danzo and 5 kage were tough, but even kakashi could prob beat danzo and he got filtered by deva and asura paths (and while naruto lost to pain, he would've beat him w/ more sage mode clones)

its a great fight, def my fav in shippuden. narutos entrance is one of the coolest parts of the show and the first point of the series where it really feels he's grown up

Besides its shitty animation the Naruto vs pain fight is easily the best of the 2. Like someone else said Sasuke growing hand wings is lame asf

I prefer when fights in Naruto are more grounded without all the terrain destruction, so it's Lee VS Gaara for me.

I tend to not like Naruto's fights in general because they tend to be ass pulls.

I much prefer almost... Everybody else's fights.

Give me Shikamaru vs. Temari, Lee vs. Gaara, Kankuro vs. pretty much anybody, that kind of shit. That's good shit.

And how the hell does Ino make more sense than Hinata as Naruto's love interest? She showed zero interest in him the entire time

I still haven't gotten around to finishing Shippuden tbh, so haven't actually watched the Pain fight. My roommate was more actively watching than I was, so I'd occasionally walk in the livingroom and sneak a peak.

i get that. all of naruto and sasukes fights kinda leaned into the shonen side of things, but all the side character fights were a lot more fitting to the show, cus they were usually more ninja-like or tactical.

like, it's a short one, but kakashi vs itachi in part 1 in the village (when kakashi gets hit by tsukuyomi) was cool and pretty tactical. same w/ jiraiya vs itachi. although i'm under the impression that itachi was jiraiya's source for info on the akatsuki

then even in the sasuke retrieval arc, i think neji vs spider guy or lee vs bone guy are cooler overall than naruto vs sasuke. if not for sasuke awakening his 3rd tomo and narutos fox form, i prob wouldn't like the fight so much

she wishes him good luck in pt 1, and thats pretty much it. ino is also cuter and her + naruto is a better match than her + painter boy

ive seen all of it like 5 times and read the manga.
i'm such a fan of this pairing that i have a handmade poster hanging on my wall that says "hinata sucks, ino rocks"

And yea, Lee vs Gaara is top notch. The Chunin Exam is generally just really good, fun, Shonen

Also worth noting that Naruto filler is some of the best of Naruto

Naruto vs Pain. That said my favourite fight in the entire series is probably Shino vs Kankuro. It's an extremely simple fight that doesn't last too long, but something about it is just so enjoyable to watch.

For the viewers, yes. From Naruto's pov, Hinata is just a weird girl who didn't show any interest in him (because she always fucking avoids him!)

It doesn't actually lol. That's his personal opinion which I don't share. In fact, most of the pairings after the Kaguya fight didn't really sit well with me.

Fair. I enjoy Naruto just fine, but as much I want to enjoy Shippuden I just can't sit through it.

So yea, my opinion on the filler doesn't really hold much water >_>

Sasuke Retrieval Arc by far. End of Leaf Destruction arc is when the power system starts to really go off the rails imo. Doesn't feel like ninjas anymore after that.

You should really watch some stuff about sakuga and why the animation looks the way it does. That animation director worked on pretty much every good fight in the series.

Both Naruto V Sasuke during retrieval and Pain v Naruto were the same key animator. You're comparing his works against each other.

He also did Sasuke v Orochimaru which gets memed on a lot as well, but is one of the best fights in the entire first part. 3rd Hokage vs the first two Hokage as well. He did so much great work.

Naruto's (the character not the show itself) big fights were (mostly) centered around an ideological conflict alongside a physical one.

Naruto almost always started out at a disadvantage, he was the underdog in both his skill and his convictions. Winning the battle meant winning both fights, and he usually came out on top by sticking to his ideals and showing guts in the face of defeat, often finding a contradiction in his opponent's arguments as well as a loophole or flaw in their battle strategy that he could use to gain the upper hand.

Naruto vs. Pain was exceptionally good because for the first time Naruto had an actual combative edge. Sage mode made his techniques stupid powerful, he even had a solution to the drawbacks and limitations of sage mode. He had more intel on Pain than Pain had on him. He was pretty much a fully matured ninja at that point, which made his entrance cathartic to an audience that had seem him struggle for years.

But suddenly he ran into a brick wall when confronted with Pain/Nagato's ideology. Literally pinned down by Pain's seemingly unbreakable convictions about the cyclical nature of hatred and war. Naruto suddenly had no response, and all of his efforts had left him powerless in this moment. We even see him give in to his own hatred and anger, which in the past had always left him the loser (See the Sasuke and Orochimaru fights). And this was looking to end up the same way.

The emotional release we see from him finally meeting his dad, and the reaffirming of his conviction that ninja are more than just tools for war and that hatred can be overcome through mutual understanding is what ultimately gives him the upper hand once again; and we see this in a literal sense when he discovers the secret to Pain's Almighty Push (which is a very on-the-nose name for a technique), resists it, and delivers the final blow.

Naruto vs Sasuke but Naruto vs Pain is very close.
