I generally don't use that website, but every once in a while I will for certain things. Anyway, I go to it and instead of titties and ass on my screen I see a big huge letter explaining how Texas is now requiring ID to view adult websites. And the only way to proceed was to sign into a profile, which I'm assuming would require your ID information.

I've heard about this in other states but I didn't realize Texas was doing it. When did that happen? And it's actually in effect now? How come I don't hear anyone talking about it?

Anyway, I just noped out and went to any of the other many sites that let me right in.

Okay I'm reading articles about it now. The hub straight up disabled access to their site in Texas as a protest to the new law. The sign in thing was for content creators to get in. But right now people in Texas legit cannot view the hub.

Wow this is crazy.

There's gotta be some proxy site for this by now. Too many people love porn for there not to be.

I mean personally it's not a huge deal to me because the hub sucks now anyways after they got rid of all the good stuff. I just use other sites and they don't require any kind of id.

Hopefully this will piss off enough Texans to get them to complain to their law makers.

Several states have this, think it started around the first of the year. The state next to me has it banned, and my phone thinks Im in that state, so Im banned. Sucks, but oh well.

I do know a workaround for this but it would probably require access to the websight anyways.

Basically, you can embed the videos from dat websight into any webpage. Once you embed the video into the webpage just refresh the page and you are free to browse the video. Only thing you would need is the link to embed the video which you would probably need access to the websight to get.

I haven't tested the full method to see if the workaround exists if you have zero access to the websight but I used to just create a single page with all my favorite videos embedded on there so I could have quick and easy access to them.

Damn, quite a few states have been passing laws like this now. Sucks, but I don't see that being undone until the Republicans are voted out. They keep passing new restrictions under the guise of "protecting the children" but it's bullshit.

Also, it looks like a lot of people are only reading the title and not the opening post and 2nd post, where TC, specifically says he's in Texas.

Same here, which is why I'm not too broken up about it.

There's another site that includes my username in the title and I go there a lot and it still works. Also, there's a site with a lot of x's in its name and I think it's hosted in like Europe or something, and they don't give a fuck.

I still prefer it over other sites. Their filters work better than any other site I've found so far. Let's me really narrow down the type of videos I'm looking for.

It's blocked in Mississippi too. The site with the rodent in its name is the same way. Conservatives basically want to turn America into their own Christian version of Iran, Saudi Arabia, or Afghanistan. Yes there are better sites and yes there are ways around the block, but we shouldn't have to deal with it either way.

The same people worried about kids accessing porn are the same ones who want to lower the age of consent, approve of child marriages, and even want children in the work force doing dangerous jobs. It's obviously not about the kids. I'm preaching to the choir here, but it's sad how these people can take over this country so easily and it's sad how so much of the country lets them.

So, people are saying this is the Republicans, but in some states it's the Democrats too. Don't ask me why.

I haven't seen a solid source yet, but the rumor is that some states are considering making using a VPN to bypass this a felony.
