So, people are saying this is the Republicans, but in some states it's the Democrats too. Don't ask me why.

I haven't seen a solid source yet, but the rumor is that some states are considering making using a VPN to bypass this a felony.

Even in 2024 some things are still bipartisan. Tax cuts for the rich, anti-privacy in the guise of protecting children, exorbitant military spending and using it to bomb the Middle East all come to mind.

Though making VPNs illegal would be extremely hard to actually enforce, given the nature of what VPNs do. Just be sure to pick the right one.

There are so many better sites than the hub anyways.

Ive heard about this, what did they remove?

Basically there were reports of videos that were nonconsensual. So instead of looking for the specific videos, they just went through and removed all of the videos that were uploaded by unverified accounts. Which ended up being like 90% of the videos. It was a huge purge

Yeah, I knew some content was removed because it was revenge porn, of questionable consent, even up to and including child exploitation. I just didnt know they removed it by doing a huge sweep.

i mean it was that or lose access to be able to make money by taking credit cards and other banking stuff

In Ohio's version of the law they want to make it a misdemeanor charge for minors who bypass age verification.

Several states have this, think it started around the first of the year. The state next to me has it banned, and my phone thinks Im in that state, so Im banned. Sucks, but oh well.

So far I've only seen red states and a few purple states.

Now that kids in red States can't look at porn anymore, it's back to teens having underage sex and commiting misdemeanors under frustration.

Go to the site that starts with an X instead. Its not a USA website so they dont have to abide those rules or care to protest
