No, we eloped.

It wasn't the initial plan, but stuff came up and it suddenly made the most sense.

Second best decision of the whole wedding.

Nope. Just did a small ceremony in our backyard with like 20 people and figured everything out ourselves.

Yes, but she kinda sucked
Found out about a month later that the reason all of the vendors were figuring out what to do was because she told them that she was just going to wing it; despite us giving her a pretty concrete list of the way that we wanted things.

Nope.

It cost us roughly $15,000 to do ourselves for 80+ people.
We had to find a venue, caterer, buy enough booze and beer for open bar, got our friend a one time certificate to marry us, bar staff... etc.

A lot of stuff to do, but it was kinda fun checking off each task from our list. It Takes a lot of time and energy though, so unless you have that, you're better off paying more to avoid a headache.

No, we were planning an August wedding and had let people know the date and were in the early stages of planning. We were on the verge of printing out invitations when I got a call with a long sought after job offer across the country starting in July so we called the family, told them not to buy travel tickets and hurriedly did the minimum required steps for a civil wedding (minister friend was the officiant, and we had two other friends act as signatories).

This was in the pre-Obergefell days but the state of Washington allowed same sex marriage, so we wanted to get the wedding done before moving to make sure my new job's health coverage would apply to him.

No wedding planner. We had a simple wedding at a chapel. Family and close friends only. Reception was at my godmother's place.

Not at all. Course it wasn't a grand thing either, just some friends and family in a public park

No. We got married at the notary's office; it was about as bare bones as possible (which is not only what we wanted, it was all we'd be able to afford)

The whole process took no more than 15 minutes and mostly amounted to saying "yes" to questions and signing some papers.

Like many in the thread, my wife and I did everything ourselves. About a hundred people in an outdoor chapel in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Reception in a hall overlooking a lake. It was perfect for us.

Whatever works for the couple is great-big wedding, small wedding, church, courthouse, elope-so many ways to tie the knot. As long as it feels right for the happy couple, it is all excellent.

Well, I got married in Quebec, so I guess I technically contributed to that.

Our wedding was in my parents back yard so we figured everything out ourselves. The only thing we did was bring in some lady to coordinate the walking down the aisle, entering/exiting shit and the first dance and all that

Shit you know what I actually think we did come to think of it
