Any time over 240 will be lost. 240 hours = 30 days. So I can only hold up 30 days of vacation within the boundaries of 3 years. Looks like I have a total of 22.50 days of vacation time currently. Looks like I'll have to use this shit soon.

I think we have a limit of 80 hours that can be kept by the end of the year. I havent been using much, since I havent needed it. It feels awkward to use cause I already work only 4 days.

Will they give you the option to cash some of it out?

Pshh I fucking wish. I think I'll use a week of vacation time along with Memorial Day to visit some family in GA.

We can only carry over 240 hours each year of vacation time. Sick leave has no limits. I usually have at least a few days I'm forced to use or lose a year.

We get a minimum of 160 a year here, many companies will allow you to bank it and just let it accrue. I left a job with $23k paid out once lol.

Im currently at 352 PTO hours. Job gives me 7.25 hours of PTO per pay period. We have staffing issues so only 1 cook can go on PTO per week.

My job the max vacation is 2 times what you earn per year. So I earn 216 hours per year (18 hours a month) so my max is 432 hours. I keep my vacation close to max so for a long time now I HAVE to use 2 days a months. I take a 3 day weekend the last two weeks each month and since I earn 18 hours and use 16 a month every 4th month I have to take a 3rd day that month.

When you work overtime you can also take it as compensatory time if you want and we are allowed to keep 80 hours of that on the books as well which I have. It used to be 120 hours but they lowered it to 80 a few years ago for whatever reason.

At the end of this month if I didn't use anytime when they added my balance I would be at 442 hours. 10 over max and would lose it. So i will use 16 hours and be at 426.

And not that is matters but we also get paid sick time that is separate and they give us 18 days a year of that. To me it is a crazy high amount that causes people to abuse the system but whatever, I'm not going to turn down what they give us as a benefit.

it's funny because when I was a teenager I mostly hear adults talking about not having enough vacation days but here I am worrying about how my vacation days might expire from not using them. Life is weird sometimes or maybe I just got lucky.

I don't know what my job's cap is, but I think I had over 200 last I looked. You typically can't take more than two weeks at a time though.

Our rollover limit is 120hrs/yr, but excess is automatically cashed out. You can also cash out any amount (that you have) at any time.
