Either way Lapras definitely did not and could never have gotten 84 points so I'm not quite sure what happened in that original tally lol

I was counting them manually during lulls at work, so probably a combo of distraction and input error. ....several times, maybe? I could also see myself screwing up positive and negative, but that shouldn't affect Lapras.

I think it's simplest to just use text-to-columns to separate the numbers from the names into their own column, then put all of the votes for one pokemon into one column and sum them. It didn't take me too long using this method - I don't have a way to automate gathering the data so i copy and pasted every ballot myself but then text to columns and summing the column was quick.

I'd switch to another account and do it myself but there'll still be discrepancies because of ignore lists which you're in your right to not bother subverting, so I can't really do it for you.

If Aria has them blocked they can't see the topic anyway

They can if they are only ignored though.

I've been informed my votals are STILL pretty wrong, so I gotta figure something out before I just get frustrated and bin the whole thing.

I already pm'ed you with more specific questions about it but I am volunteering to do vote counts so we won't be binning anything

I didn't even want to make you feel bad, but I had to call the D7 counts into question because they're further off than even a normal miscount for some reason and I'm not even sure why (it's not the ignore list)

also btw if anybody else took over votals, I'd be okay with their block list applying instead of mine. (as long as they didn't, like, obviously weaponize that lol) My blocklist is not intended as some sort of maplejetian punishment. >_>

Consider it done then, I assume it's not a duty that you are sad to pass off, I'm happy to handle the vote count and not have to do any of the rest of the organization

I will have the latest votals up tomorrow, and I can go back and clean up previous days if you don't mind. (I don't think any results will change, except possibly for D7)

I'd also offer to recount or set up some semi-automatic spreadsheet stuff but I have no one ignored and I am uncomfortable going don't into detail about who has who blocked so I would only provide the full thing.

I'm doing this from an alt account with no ignore list. It's the only way to ensure consistently accurate counts amongst multiple people. (This isn't a moral judgment against using an ignore list one way or the other, it's just logistic realities)

I already have recounts of days 1, 2, and 6 done (and I have strong reason to believe they are accurate), so it would be convenient if you wanted to help do days 3 4 and 5

Currently my method is copy and pasting ballots by hand (I have to be careful to make sure I copy each ballot correctly, I may have made a mistake when doing D7 yesterday) into a spreadsheet, then text to columns and just summing the columns. So I have to copy the ballots by hand but everything else is automated. If someone figures out how to do it faster than this I'm all ears

I'll do day 5 for now, but I'm doing this on paper like a chump so it's pretty slow. I'll leave 3 and 4 for anyone else who wants to help, but I could do them later too if no one does

I don't mind getting them all, mind you, I just won't have them done until later tonight.

I rechecked day 5. Aria's numbers were mostly right and nothing changed the overall ranking. Absol was +40, not +39, and she forgot to put the -7 for Zacian. In the other division, Druddigon was -22 not -26.
