Why hasn't he been dating claimed vanillas

I'd need to double check the timing on Chris's date confirmations, but wouldn't that require someone to have claimed vanilla prior to their agreement to date? Our claims day one came at the very end, though he had multiple options day 2 instead of Sultan.

I don't see why Godfather Prostitute is ridiculous anyway. I've seen more absurd roles here.

What is even the point of having town info roles if we're going to immediately give them zero credit? I understand we have to be willing to consider things like godfather to not completely throw the game based upon a single piece of wrong intel, but right now reds scan is our only piece of confirmed intel.

If there is a godfather then we can assume that the last thing they would want to do is pair up with a scummate, nullifying their advantage, but with 7 rooms night 1 that means red only has a 1/7 chance of hitting specifically the godfather+town room IF godfather even exists, which it might not. Gun to my head? I'm going to lean into the 6/7 odds, at least at first.

Chris was scummy enough that the whole game had him as likely scum day 1 and he has played like a scum Prosty.

I don't think it's fair to say we've given him no leash for inno scan and being info role. He's just taken a LOT of it.

Admittedly, I haven't considered much of FD. After N1, I just thought he was town and didn't think twice about it. But I asked Red what he thought of FD, and this is what went down:

Kirby: "Any thoughts on FD? I have him as highly likely to be town in my books, but I don't think my opinion is very popular."
Red: "hes lining up with his recent town frustrations"
Red: "he hasnt really drawn scum so i dont know if he'd differ but he doesnt ping different atm"

So I'm not sure if my town read on FD is blindly unfounded.

That's the other thing, it has literally been years since I rolled scum, this game included. Granted much of that time I wasn't playing mafia actively, but I returned to board Mafia last July and haven't missed a game since. A few games ago I brought up the 'woe is me, never scum, never fun' and got yelled at for it so I've kept those thoughts to myself since then. At least on this game I get to talk at night so that scratches the itch. I also got to be triple neighbors with Corrik and Chang in October which was fun, but that's also the game I had the bad Mr. T flavor logic. It's a real blessing for me that this game specifically specifies that flavor is to be ignored absolutely

Btw Kirby, did red town read you by the end of the night? At the end of day 2 Chris and I asked red to give you some kind of signal that we would understand (and you couldn't possibly fake) if he wanted to let us know he felt you were town. If that happened and you said something about it then I missed it. Did he do anything like that?

Blatantly traceable but just requires a few days of survival. Keep in mind game is lost at 5 remaining if 2 scum are alive at that point

We're giving Corrik benefit of the doubt as backup

Solution? Make sure they aren't paired together. That way if Corrik dies, Chris's date will be alive and vis versa.

Also true. Kirby did red tell you who he was scanning? And if so did he tell you before or after the night action cutoff?

(just going to nip this point in the bud across the board as I see no reason not to)

ALL relevant night action results were returned to players after night rooms closed. (The game potentially hinging on someone being online during a very specific one hour time frame to receive and share results would be a bad mechanic)

Corrik blind claimed backup in a way that wasnt self preservation and named exact cop mechanics. He also played the game like I would expect him to play backup

Why are you putting his claim in the same bucket as Chris's which was made under pressure and has no relation to how he's played the game

I'm just saying we can guarantee confirmation on at least one of them by NOT pairing them.

The only issue is the possibly someone mentioned of there being a non-chris prosty who is simply sleeping with Chris' date every night to supplement his godfather innocence. But then we'd have to believe scum has some incredible redundancy with prosty AND vanilla cop?

I think Prosty + Vanilla Cop + GF is a workable scum config

It makes it a very informational based scumteam against a town who has only an unreliable cop scan to use against them

I'm not crazy about Ulti and MZero protecting each other, they both coasted with early dates day 1 and are square in my poe today.

Obviously if neither will budge there's nothing I can do about it. Failing their date breaking up, I would be open to testing Sultan.

Lopen, maybe I'm just dumb, but I can't see scum having Prosty and Vanilla Scanner at the same time on a team with only 3 scum. It's just way too much redundancy with nothing else to help them. Maybe I'm just short sighted on my part because I don't see enough of the town setup. But it seems crazy to me.

It seems like you're not even doubting that Chris is Prosty any more. You're just taking it for granted that he WILL be confirmed tomorrow, but you still want us to lynch him.

I'm just winding back from the emotional play of being insistent that my reads of the game are correct, and looking at what the actual practical play is here. Lynching Chris is not it. We take the extra info every time.

That being said rule # 1 for me these days is if someone annoys me they are town so I welcome lopen the court jester into my towncore. Maybe with a straight jacket though.

It's a little bit of both tbh

My problem right now is near everyone in the game having some heavy suspicion of Sultan, but not being able to lynch him because Ulti (someone else in many people's PoEs, that also fully supported Sultan as scum last night) is taking Chris's scan of no movement as law, and not entertaining any idea of maybe Sultan as scum just didn't move because he has a non-moving role and didn't submit night kill because of the suspicion on him?

The feel-bad of this dating style of game is that when my primary preferred lynch is denied me, I have to try and look at second/third options that I'm not as confident in. I rarely in any mafia game I've ever played have had a full scum team read that I'm confident in pursuing. It's always major suspect, then random trailing PoE behind it.

Red never really said anything to indicate what he thought of me either way.

The very last interaction I had with him was this:

Red: "Anyway, i suppose i should ask you what i asked ulti. Why should i unequivocally consider you town?"
Kirby: [insert verbose answer here]

And that was the very last exchange we had in our chat. He never responded afterward, though granted there was only an hour left until the day began anew.

Nothing wrong with that but why not resolve it first?

Almost want to some how elave both Lopen and Chris out. This isn't cool and bringing down the mood of the game

That's all the discussion we had on scans. Red never told me who he ended up scanning, but it's likely irrelevant since he's dead now.

look as long as lopen sticks to calling me a baby I'm fine with him living. It's really the prosty godfather stuff that was too silly for words tbh
