Is it saving scum, or is it locking them in a room with you and only you for 24 hours with no escape?

I'm trying to fly to Toronto today for a work conference, but winter abruptly went from mild to murderous and my flight keeps getting delayed.

Whoever will be snowed in together with me? One of my many enemies, rivals to lovers? One of my childhood mafia friends? What are you doing, step-Sultan?

And so on in that manner. Jokes aside, I really do think it will be easier to find scum at night here and bring in a high pressure "shun this guy fellow mean girls" attempt the next day. We only have a few scum players psychotic enough to be high energy all night. Hook those red flags to my veins

I don't either, which is why I keep bringing up the point that Lopen's original argument was bad, and Chris was more concerned with building a bridge with Lopen than actually pursuing any of the people listed. That's why I'm saying it was toothless, and I'm looking at the motivation behind it!

Note that Chris again responded to just the part about the segment, and again avoided responding to the broader picture that I've tried to center the conversation around again and again.

Because the way the game of mafia is played, sometimes you do something to see how people react to it later, Lopen. And telling people what you're looking for before hand kind of defeats the purpose if they are aware of it. You shouldn't need to be told this. You're just not interpreting what I'm saying out of bias.

peaf and i have a long history of despite being RL friends, he finds it very hard to trust me in Mafia. Probably just because he knows I put in effort regardless of alignment and can talk in circles for hours, so he sees me arguing and can't help but think I'm being scummy. This happens in almost EVERY game of mafia we play, unless we are hard confirmed by roles. Go search the archives, you will see Peaf always being at odds with me, even when we were scum buddies! It's just a natural state for him.

I wanted to pair up with Peaf early and see if he would break up with me during the day because his natural inclination to distrust me rears its ugly head, or if he would take the free date to the very end of the day.

I was using my date as a player read to see how he interacted with it. This is why I was comfortable accepting his date to "spite" lopen earlier, because I saw some actual value to seeing if it held up or not.

saying this out loud completely ruins the test though if he's simply aware that i'm looking for it.

Peaf I know you said you would have fun with dumey but because of my read which you may or may not agree with I instead want you to willingly condemn him to death.

I think there is zero real pressure this game and you could have let your test play out with little actual risk
