Sexual harassment.

His behavior was creepy and came to light during a time when everyone was focused on sex crimes in Hollywood.

What he did is empirically not as bad as Harvey Weinstein or Bill Cosby but it was still creepy and was taking advantage of a power dynamic.

While he was wrong, he also never really seemed to show much remorse. I don't hate the guy and I do kinda rue that his material is less acceptable these days.

he used his position as a producer on the Chris rock show to pressure interns into watching him masturbate. He also sexually harassed co-workers on the set of TV shows. Somewhere along the line he twisted the narrative to it being about consent in his hotel room which is bullshit because what he did was way beyond that

he also apologized and said he would go away and take time to listen then less than a year later was back on stage with material about how he was the real victim because of how much money he lost

He was my favorite comedian. I've not been able to enjoy any his stuff since the news came out.

I watched bits of his special from after the situation happened, and it just feels weird. His audience sounded like an Andrew Dice Clay or Married With Children crowd too, so he's attracting a specific fanbase that I'd rather not associate with.

used to really like him and thought louie and horace and pete were masterpieces but after in depth reading of what he did, i don't want to support that pos again.

I listened to that album too. Wasn't too too memorable like his bit about a whole bag of *****, but the part where he explains "everybody knows my thing" was cracking me up.

I miss the fuck out of his FX show though

One of my favorite episodes of his FX show was that hilarious episode about masturbation with him and the religious woman. Then when the stories came out about him that episode was effectively ruined and took on a whole new meaning

I imagine all the people who will forgive him have forgiven him long ago and the people who have not never will.

As arguably the biggest fan of CK on this board, he can fuck himself forever.

Since he came back from his hiatus he has won a Grammy and still sells out every single show he does all over the country. Hes not as popular in mainstream media as he was before, but hes still doing quite well

^Seen him twice since those incidents, one arena and one theatre, still some of the best live stand up I've seen

Its not really about forgiveness for me, I wasnt one of his victims. I just cant think of anything other than how much of a creep he is when I see him now. How can I laugh at him?

The worst part is listening to his various jokes from his older specials talking about assaulting women jokingly. It's like if Michael Jackson sang about banging kids in the early 80's.

Lucky Louie on HBO was gold. It was short lived but I loved that series.

That's what I'm saying lol dude has been very open about majority of his insecurities and all that shit. It just makes me think people don't really pay attention or think at all. It's like Richard Pryor saying he "fucked his first ******" on stage and then people being surprised when it came out that he was also effing dudes.

This last part is why his shows of remorse always rang hollow to me. And why even if I wanted to see his stand up I could never feel good about giving him money. It was bad enough that he took advantage of women being in a position where it was very difficult for them to say no. But then on top of that, he had his manager threaten them or possibly even hamper their careers just so he wouldn't get caught? Seriously, get fucked Louis CK.

And of course his jokes about being canceled just make it even more obvious the shows of remorse were nothing more than that, a show. He's obviously only sorry because he got caught and can't be as big a name as he used to be. I don't ever want to do anything that helps line that guy's pockets again.

That's why it's called sexual harassment or sexual deviancy. And not sexual assault. Same as if a teacher jacked off in front of an 18 year old student, and the girl 'consented'. Or a father/uncle jacked off in front of his 16 year old daughter/niece in a state where 16 is the age of consent. It might not be sexual assault, but there is certainly something to ask forgiveness for.

Mind you, I am STILL a fan of Louis CK's comedy. But what he did was disgusting and wrong, and he does need to repent for it.

Like, he did horrible stuff and lied about it and bullied the accusers before finally admitting it, but apparently most of the world either doesn't give a fuck or moved on.

And that's where his career essentially starts and ends now. He'll never get another TV deal, he'll never be in another Hollywood film, he's a comedian from now until he wants to retire, but as most comedians don't actually retire, this is it for him.

He went from a man with ambitious ideas to a man who's stuck in a dead end job with no chance for advancement.
