Much like other failed game-to-cinematic attempts such as World of Warcraft, Halo is an awfully too ambitious of a title to tackle for a TV show / movie. Honestly, the best adaptation in the Halo franchise was the CGI miniseries Forward Unto Dawn, which focused on developing the young cadet characters instead of trying to portray the entire Halo universe.
