What does marvel even do with Charles nowadays last i heard about him in the comics Cyclops killed him and mutants in general all joined Magento and fucked off to some kind of orbiting mutant only space station around the world and some kind of orgy island only being on earth to have slap fights with the Avengers sometimes

When was this? The last time I've read any xmen comics, was during Avengers vs X-Men. And I think Charles wasn't even around. So I assumed he was dead. I feel like he is dead a lot. This was like 10 years ago. But I do remember Magneto was a member of the xmen at that time

When I last read it a few years ago, Xavier was resurrected by some kind of mutant resurrection machine, and he and a council of powerful mutants run mutant society on the magic island.

Yeah, Krakoa. It wasn't just Xavier, they combined the powers of a few different mutants to basically resurrect every single mutant that died anywhere.

It was actually a pretty well-received storyline.

And I think the magic island is how they brought Kamala Khan back to life after she was killed in a Spider-Man story. And now she is a mutant I think because she went through that process. Apparently it can be used on non mutants but it makes them become a mutant

Nah, they just retconned her into being a mutant.

Toooootally unrelated to the MCU Kamala being a mutant, I'm sure.

I thought the whole point of Magnetos helmet was that it blocks telepathic attacks. Also since when can he just project waves that will destroy non-metallic objects. Viewing that show now really rips off the nostalgia lens of my childhood memories.

I was surprised to learn a few months ago that this was only a thing in the live-action movies. In the comics - and presumably this cartoon - it's just a hat

I do believe the original intention for Kamala Khan was for her to be a mutant, but Ike "We need to push The Inhumans because we don't have xmen movie rights" Perlmutter changed it

That really did not become a big thing into the movie. It was said to block it off and on before. But the movie made it a mainstay.

Go back and re-watch it. They altered Magneto's past in Season 1 so it wasn't WW2, it was some weird civil war.

But later on in Season 4, it's clearly WW2.

To the one asking about Xavier in the comics, it's best to just forget it. At one point he's killed and his brain is put into Red Skull's head. Like, literally put on top of Red Skull's brain so he could become Red Onslaught or something. The comics are just so fucking bad.

Revenge is a powerful motivator. A very human quality, even. Magneto and Xavier are both pretty far up their own ass with their self righteousness. But it makes for compelling character arcs and good stories (not always, lol) :)

If and when Mags gets introduced into the MCU, it's probably gonna be something like this. Maybe a Sarkovian civil war. WW2 will be too far in the past at that point. Unless you want a 90-something year-old supervillain.

Ok, I did watch the cartoon some. I guess I am just getting them mixed up, just feels so strange that Magneto's helmet was just a helmet until the movies.
