Nah I literally watched the toho movies on VHS since I was a kid. I have never liked the Legendary made Godzilla movies. That first one crashed and burned after Walter White died. Then they revealed Godzilla, he had brontosaurus feet and he was barely in it. Annoying basic military family, *yawn*.

Toho Godzilla wasn't the peak of cinema but it delivered a certain feel that American made Godzilla movies can never seem to replicate.

I liked Shin Godzilla and Minus One but I prefer watching Godzilla fight other kaiju like in the 90s and 00s movies. GvK was ass though so I hope this one is better. I really enjoyed KotM.

Except they were trying to replicate it with these legendary movies. Something different was the 1998 movie imo. Godzilla is so different in that it's great. A fast, a more vulnerable Godzilla, weaving in and out of buildings making dens and laying eggs was great.

Toho hated that movie so much they had him get bitch slapped by the real godzilla in Final Wars. They won't even call him Godzilla, because they think he's fake.

Like somebody else said that was Sony trying to take advantage of the jurassic park hype by making him T-rex like and it most certainly did not work

So both Mothra and Shimo were seen in the trailer! Especially glad to have Mothra back, with God Rays this time around! Lots of people think Shimo froze Ghidorah in the past. Wonder if that will be touched on.

Also while Toho did great with shin and minus one they cant keep relying on standalone movies and or terrible/forgettable anime series forever.

This is honestly like going from The Dark Knight to Batman Forever.

Lmao I'm excited for this, but it looks like dogshit. I'm going to try to go in open minded, but GvK was awful and I couldnt suspend my disbelief like at all.

Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised? KotM is one of my favorite movies
