my biggest question mark with respect to Chang being scum is why he voted corrik instead of mzero d1 when both were pretty much identical trains of pick the inactive.

he could have pressured mzero but instead was the second vote on corrik with me. pressuring your own role cop d1 when there is real risk of a special is a bold move, though he may not have expected the train to form as quickly as it did and the initial plan was just to set himself up for voting/pressuring corrik later.

Speaking of nitpicking, Chang at one point today claimed his role PM says it only protects against "traditional night kills". And he suggested maybe red could have successfully shot him or poison could kill him since they're not "traditional night kills". Wouldn't that also mean Janitor would kill Chang? Strongman of course would still kill him. That's 3 nights of modifiers where scum could kill him. So if that's in his PM then what would Chang actually be protected against lol.

I don't believe Sultan, or any host, would use that wording anyway.

The theory you propose which makes more sense to you is just too convoluted and requires so many steps and on the journey there are too many "but why not this" scenarios.

And the issue with chang opposed to other alive players is that Scum is going to be forced to reveal some of them to us. Whereas if you are bullet proof you'll be forced into the finals. And the question will always be is it you.

I disagree. Without a roleblocker, scum only has a one use power sap to defend against Red's kill. Can't even draw a doc save that night. They're already spread pretty thin with two day cops and the nuisance of perpetual tracker. Bulletproof godfather makes a lot of sense, balance wise. And claiming bulletproof is incentivized by separating one's self from the "too many vanillas, let's kill all the vanillas" sea, as well as provided an incentive to be scanned ("confirmed" bullet proof, draws scanner eye's from scummate or town). What scum role could Ben possibly have that's more threatening than what we've already seen?

oh I'll also suggest Lea should be forced to scan Sbell tomorrow. there's no value in scanning anyone else left

I didn't give it much thought overnight, but the easiest and laziest answer was always going to be one of FD or Sbell, and i was definitely leaning FD. So my first reaction to FD being town was a pretty dejected i guess its Sbell response. I then thought about that statement harder and seeing Lea's confidence that it was Chang opened my eyes to see it too.

I appreciate the effort to try at least. Unless that funny picture is a wolf picture

I tire of this toil. And with plans approaching tonight I think it's time I bid this game adieu (if you kill me) or to presumably usher in the post-game (if you kill Ben). As such, this will be my last post. It's been a fun one, y'all. I very much enjoyed posting exclusively in meme images for like the first 12 hours of the game.

On that note though, I wish everyone would stop saying I played a great game as scum though! First off, I wouldn't have even won if I were scum! And second off, I'm town and I feel like I played a great game as town! If I fake claimed some BS i totally wouldn't be getting killed, which is kind of nonsense to only get killed for my real claims and never for my fake ones.

Changs effort today has me feeling two ways. Its a lot of effort to which feels town but also its been a lot of effort undermining Lea to make a sketchier endgame should he make it there.

Im honestly also still kind of stuck on the fact that Ned Flanders wasnt neighbor and we have a confirmed dead neighbor.

I really think Death voting Ulti day 1 looked like an attempt to not leave his vote on a teammate as he goes to bed. Death knew he wouldn't be there to change his vote and didn't want to be a shitty teammate.

That's if you ignore all the other good reasons for ulti being town like him claiming to move each night and then not moving in actuality.

The only thing Chang has said that has made me have any doubt is just now him being mad we aren't saying he had a good town game. >_> that sounds kind of like genuine annoyance. The fake claim bit too, though at the same time his real role can be bulletproof, so there's some truth to draw on there.

I just have no idea what other direction to even entertain.

I was only scanned town, then tracked not moving for the entire game and weve already went over how me being scum requires me moving on night 1. You can have Lea scan me if you really want to see proof of my flavor, but Id rather she try to find the actual scum if by some miracle the game doesnt end when Chang dies.

One scum on scum (Death and Ulti) and two town on scum lynches isnt *impossible* for Day 1. Corrik and ctes were both specials started by me, and Ulti votes Corrik to save himself after seeing the momentum swing. We might have just had an impeccable town day. Its not like Corrik or Ctes were around so there may just not have been any scum-led lynches (except, possibly, Ulti on MZero?).

And Ulti was pushing Isquen hard. The lynches he actively pushed for other than clearly obvious scum have all been town.

He has primarily pushed:
MZero
Isquen
Corrik (kinda)
Sbell (acknowledging Chang voted him too I think?)

I know its good practice to bus scumbuddies sometimes but theyve really been up against the wall here and Ultis resume reads as scum desperately clinging to life.

im also struggling to understand why scum Chang would help start a special on his role cop instead of voting MZero for the same reasons.

its such an easy cop out to not put your strongest role (as it enables vanillaizer) at risk

Its really hard for me not to see this as blatant manipulation hoping to get town confirmed. If ulti is scum he and the scum team would have almost zero worry about me dying and my flip ruining the lie.

Do I think town ulti would try to get town confirmed, even by lying, of course. But the combination of the repeated mason fake claim and fear mongering makes me absolutely paranoid.

does anyone remember what ulti's renamed vanilla role was? was it actually 'naive neighbor'?
