No but I think by this point Steve Harvey has hosted it longer than any of the previous hosts.

Yeah. Richard Dawson hosted the original 9 year run and then one more season in 1994.
Steve Harvey's been there since 2010, so 14 seasons and counting

Found it weird that dude just starts blowing his nose in the middle of Richard talking to him on screen.

That is nothing compared to the utterly dumb answers that were given out on Family Fortunes the United Kingdom version of Family Feud.

There were so many crap answers given out on that show that ITV the TV company that showed it were able to make 3 programmes called Family Misfortunes showcasing the utterly worst answers given in the programme.

To be honest, that's a very weirdly worded question for what it's trying to ask, and even after several seconds (which may be all the time you have to provide an answer, depending on the stage of the game) I wouldn't have understood what it was trying to ask either and probably would have said something similar.

And according to Snopes, Bob Eubank said the wildest moment he remembered from the show was when he asked a woman what was the one thing her husband told her not to talk about. He said her answer, "Her brother and cousin planned to kill her uncle for his insurance money."

Then her husband came out and gave the same answer.

And its not even too wrong, there was a statistic that most people's birthdays are in September and it's the most common month, since people are more likely to be indoors during December winter and snuggle up together to get warm which may lead to sexy times

So he probably just associated that with the 9th month, ergo proxy September

It's not the dumbest answer by any means but the disconnect and quasi absurdist nature of the answer makes it lmao worthy. The host getting yelled at for failing to keep a straight face doesn't hurt either.

At this point, i feel like it's scripted, and who would care that watches it.
I haven't come across a host that i don't prefer over him. Family Fued used to be my favorite, too, and he's the longest running host...

The answer itself is cute but Richard Dawson losing it is what puts it over the top, now you see hosts crack up all the time but Dawson always kept it pretty straight so when he busts out laughing and falling to his knees that's what made it amazing...

I like Steve as the host, but Richard Karn and Richard Dawson were the best imo.

Out of all the hosts, I feel like I seen the least amount of episodes with him.

I was a child of the 90s, so Ray Combs was the only host.

Shit, just read his wikipedia article. That sucks, poor guy.

In the British version long running host Les Dennis had a catchphrase for when ever a contestant gave a rubbish answer which was "If it's up there I'll give you the money myself"! Or when they had a car as a bonus prize in the big money game and a contestant in the main game gave a really crap answer he would go "If that's up there we'll just cut to the chase and you can have the car"!

Twice his catchphrase backfired on him. For the question "Name a way of toasting someone"? The contestant said "over a fire"! and it was on the board! The second time was for the question "Name something a dog can do that you wish you could do"? The contestant said "Wee in the street"! and it was in the board!
