It was not tied. And that was 100% me being wrong, not some attempt at a gambit. I somehow mis counted in rushing to update the votes as fast as possible and was content to leave it as a tie in those last couple minutes. Only realized it wasn't a tie after Lea voted I looked back at my list.

Well, at least we can say Lea looks extra town since she had an excuse to let Ctes live there and didn't take it

Disagree. Especially not for Lea, who I have seen drive a bus through a wall before. With Lopen dead, I must take up the mantle of "what the fuck" conspiracy brain and assume the possibility of a ctes bus to save Corrik with a much more important scum role.

did scum really kill lopen, of all people? and if so, why?

why wouldn't they kill one of the 5 people on the ctes lynch who 1. look more town and 2. don't derail the game with 300 conspiracy theories

I'm kinda with Ulti. Death isn't cleared at all by claiming with information scum certaintly have. The timing and reasoning for the claim seems odd coming from him anyway. And I didn't think his vote on Ulti at EOD felt as justified as town him would have made it either

Lopen was seen as one of the towniest people out here I imagine. Maybe the hardest to get lynched in the future. Not the most likely to be doc saved. That's my assumption for now.

i am somewhat concerned that the 'lynch an inactive' train was the closest thing started by others to heat moving off of ctes

most of the people pushing for EoD lynches look pretty towny to me. given EoD votals it looks like corrik was a fairly towny push as well. i'm wondering who, if anybody, was being pushed by scum?

tbh looking at the playerlist corrik looks like a good option today

Medium credit to chang and wallz for following up. It was less than 5 minutes remaining and every vote counted.

Conditional credit to Lea for the vote swap off of Corrik to flip the lynch. If it turns out that Corrik was ALSO scum and had a more obviously powerful role then this credit is subject to revocation.

And if I'm being perfectly honest, it's a good thing I wasn't there. I was just sitting down a couple minutes after the hour to catch up and participate in the final hour, but somehow I had the EoD timer mixed up. When I skimmed and saw the stop I remember thinking that I probably would have taken the opportunity to vote Corrik in that position. So yeah, good job town for clutching up (unless both were scum) and bad job me for not understanding how time works.

for the record while i think eod looks good on lea's record i think that she is a smart and opportunistic enough player to consider lynching ctes for town clout. she's led a lynch on scumbuddy chris d1 before and last game several of my scumbuddies came out of my own d1 lynch looking pretty good (which helped them win).

i think she's town but just making it clear there's no free pass and i will still be evaluating

Probably an error, but still something to question.

Can't believe yinz almost lynched me. Good job tho I suppose. Most the game has to be virtually locked up as town at this point. I'll be able to read day 1 I haven't yet tomorrow at work. Likely not gonna be able to do much after that. Oh well.

I think if Corrik is anything other than scum Lea is pretty damn clear. Yes the potential for earning town credit is there, but town Corrik can be a real thorn for scum when he gets going so why not take the freebie?

Why Chang more than wallz? As the 3/4 vote their contributions to making the lynch happen were more or less identical. You and Kirby get more credit for your position, but I don't see any difference in value between them.

Who wants to do a breakdown of vote changes at the end with the vote at the time and time remaining as votes were made.

Legitimately think most of town is pretty locked up here.

All very subject to change. Don't have many strong feelings yet today. Red is probably the most town-y of the unsure group, and given I like everyone else on the Corrik lynch, that raises a red flag for he and Isquen. It's possible ctes was putting pressure on Isquen as a scumbuddy D1, but I'm not sure how much I like that idea?

Other Comments:

• Lopen being killed is interesting. He was only really gung-ho on Ulti, and I don't think he screamed power. I didn't clue into the him being a vanilla thing someone else mentioned but it makes sense in retrospect.
• I'm assuming there's still a good chance scum has some kind of EK in addition to Vanillaizer?

and FD it's because to the best of my recollection, chang had interactions with ctes earlier in the day (ctes voted him) and to me had a better grasp of the situation/reason to vote than wallz

It's not nearly as complicated as it was when I made that breakdown for the flurry of views in the other game. I can put something together tomorrow, but ultimately it was pretty solidly corrik with You in second before those 4 votes summoned the ctes special.

Ctes cast a self preservation vote and then red cast a Corrik vote that would have saved Ctes if Lea didn't swap.

This honestly makes me feel better about red, oddly. I don't see him sticking his neck out so directly to save a scummate.

I agree. I don't think scum willingly kills their own teammate there.

Though I have to ask... Lea, what suddenly changed your mind on Ctes? Like... you really waited until the last minute there. Two minutes before the deadline you asked him to claim out of nowhere and then by some miracle you changed your vote at quite literally the last second. That's incredible but also I'm mad curious what convinced you.

That is... a very odd certainty you have there

Might I remind you Ctes's role was simply Vanillaizer. No extra bells and whistles. This might also explain why he never gave two hoots about your defense of FD and Lopen (the latter of who did have extra bells and whistles to his otherwise Vanilla role).

It's metagaming, but we don't have enough info to say one way or the other that scum are aware that standard roles have alternative names. In fact, Ctes' flip leans more on the side of scum not actually knowing about this quirk.

Yeah I just read Lopens last 15 or so posts. Very solidly anti-Ulti (with a splash of anti-Lea in one post).

With the obvious reasons to believe Lopens was vanilla it would imply he was targeted for the voice he was providing rather than any night action impact scum was fearful of.

Or it could have been redirection? Impossible to speculate on that though so for now we have to assume he was an intended target.

Either a delayed reaction EK that we won't see the impact of until day 3 or strongarm being saved to get through protection springs to mind. I think a non-delayed, non-strongarm EK would have been used immediately to reduce the chance of it being foiled by another scum lynch.

I'll throw something together either late tonight or tomorrow with the up and down arrows like I did last time and we'll see. But I know some views came from you and others from Ulti. It happened quick enough that most wouldn't have been 100% sure if their contributions to the ctes train would have been enough to make him dead. I think only Leas vote was made with that clear intent.

But when the question is "Did someone knowingly vote a scummate in the final 5 minutes" is that very relevant?

Hell I probably wouldn't have even started the Ctes train if Wallz didn't make that post. I'd argue it's an extremely pivotal moment that firmly puts Wallz in the town pile

Well for now I'll give them both credit for casting pivotal votes and we can move on to finding the next scum.

the original ctes train i was on from earlier in the day didn't look like it was going anywhere so i swapped to corrik as i was generally fine with that lynch.

then i was literally playing a tournament match on my other screen and refreshing my first screen to try and track what was happening, saw the ctes train starting back up and quickly threw in my vote but didn't have time to write up justification or anything

all good though i don't really care about how much credit i get

would rather not be considered 100% town anyway, that's how you get nightkilled
