Baiting out a vig counter claim as scum would be quite the stupid move unless Red is Bulletproof scum.

That being said, Red is picking some pretty nothingburger targets, so if he's actually scum with an extra kill, he'll be shooting peeps that aren't gonna impact the game that much. Would be quite the gamble on the Mafia's end if that extra shot isn't used to either hit a revealed power or a particularly logical or vocal townie.

Though it's interesting that he lumped FD into that pile. Hmm... if Red is town, do we trust his intuition enough to hit scum?

I'm not completely sold on Red, but from a logistical perspective, Ben might have a point about lynching Red. But idk what kind of info we as a town get from that lynch. I feel like there's a lot more value in a Ctes lynch if those two are gonna be our lynch leaders.

For the sake of coherency and not specialing, it looks like Red, Ulti, and Ctes are our candidates. I'm still leaning on Ctes. I feel the best about Ulti (albeit not by much), and I could go either way on Red vs. Ctes.

I still think Lea is the right answer for today, but I don't think anyone else is seeing what I'm seeing.

I don't feel particularly negative towards Ctes, but I've never beaten him when he's scum, possibly no one has. So stabbing blindly might fix that blindspot.

How are you going to criticize Isquen for having no town leans but lead the charge on a special. Thats not making an informed decision based on the day.

maybe mzero IS scum we havent seen enough to know. I remember mzero being scum once in your fantasy novel mafia and I dont recall him tunneling ulti then.

I agree Id rather lynch scum than learn something without lynching scum. Problem with the mzero option is not only does it tell us nothing, its less than a coin flip as to actually lynching scum.

You dont lynch them day one. Ever. If Red is lying, the real vig will shoot him. If hes telling the truth, you cost us a chance at shooting scum. Even if Red is scum and an extra town does tonight, we just kill him tomorrow. But we lack the known data points at present to lynch him.

Counter-point: there is no townside vig and scum Red kills a townie, pretends he's town vig that shot a townie, and nobody bats an eye.

This isn't a clear-cut, black-or-white scenario here. If Red lives tomorrow and scum doesn't die tonight, Red's alignment is still up in the air.

Not that I advocate for a Red lynch, but this isn't a good defense, either.
