Apparently the Switch/PS4 versions are botched, so steer clear of those. But I'm tempted to get the PC version. Anyone else thinking of getting it?

I'm downloading right now for PC. Dagget is one of my favorite Nick characters so I'm obligated lol.

I'm waiting for physical to release, and then I'll get it on PS5.

I didn't buy into much of the hype this time around (played about 30 hours of the first game) but it's looking a lot smoother so I'm on the fence.

Yeesh. Let's hope for a prompt patch. I hear it more or less works on Steam Deck so I'm sold. No direction input remapping in-game, though? Why?

So, like the first game, it might be playable in a year? This time they just need to fix the bugs and add the cut characters.

2024 will be the year of the Smash killer. This game becomes playable, and the MultiVersus juggernaut gets an official release.

I feel like MultiVersus had its moment and they dropped the bag. (While simultaneously also taking the bag and pissing off a lot of people who were actually willing to spend money on it.) I'm sure it'll have some form of resurgence when it does limp back to live service but it'll never be remotely what it could have been.

Maxdood shared some info he's heard about Multiversus recently. Apparently the reception was WAY too big when it first released and the devs didn't know how to handle it. They weren't in a position to support the game the way it needed but Warner didn't want to pull the plug because of the popularity and it was actually making money.

Maybe it's copium but he said that he's seen some recent stuff and it's coming along nicely so I have hope for it coming back one day. But yeah it definitely won't reach the heights that it was at when it first launched.

Multiversus and NASB1 both had the same problem of giving everyone air dashes that were way too fast and too good of an offensive and defensive tool. The entire match was just spamming dashes nonstop until 1 person finally hit someone.

The air dash in NASB2 uses 1 bar of meter so I'm thinking the game is going to be a lot slower than 1 and maybe more my style.

Okay, tried arcade mode. During the Flying Dutchman boss the screen got stuck in screen-shake and gave me slight motion sickness, and after I beat the final boss it took me directly into fighting the final boss again and then softlocked on the stage screen.

What is with these devs? How do they fuck up copy/pasting the last game but making it a little better and adding features that were missing at launch?

Because it's not a copy paste job. It was redone from ground up, hence the unfortunate cuts.

No, sorry, Xbox One version is as well.

I played the PS4 version and yeah....it's rough. Especially when I've watched streams of what I presume are PC/current gen consoles, which play significantly smoother.

Thankfully, they do seem intent on fixing the performance.

TBH I'm not wanting to go back to the PC version before a patch that fixes the softlocking etc. That way I can claim a refund if needed.

This game softlocks during loading screens so many times. Every 3rd or 4th ranked match I have to close and re-open. I've probably had to close and re-open about 20 times so far.

Uninstalled after 25 hours. This game is full of way too much bullshit to be fun competitively and I have no faith in the developers to fix any of the nonsense because it was probably designed to be bullshit.
