Past couple years me and my friends have really gotten into doing karaoke, it's a lot of fun. I highly recommend private room karaoke in particular, it's so much better when it's just you and people you know.

For me, I always do Chop Suey (System of a Down), and then I often rotate through Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana), Break Stuff (Limp Bizkit), Jeremy (Pearl Jam), and various Offspring songs. My GF and I also like to do Tribute (Tenacious D) together, and Ghostbusters is a surprisingly solid group sing-along song.

Haven't done it in ages. My go to used to be "Torikil su omneun sarang" by Sohodae, back when I often went to Korean karaoke bars, I could probably still do that one. Or else there's always NGGYU.

I don't do the Black Crowes song as much anymore cause most of the audience skews younger now. There's a ton of songs I'd love to sing but don't because no one would recognize them.

My boyfriend does a pretty mean Elvis, so we tend to just duet Elvis songs, even when they aren't duets.

Yup. Easy to sing outside of the last line of the song. Even then it's not that hard but sounds impressive when you hit the note.

I'm bad at remembering how songs are supposed to go, don't listen to a lot of popular music, and no one needs to hear my voice attempt to sing, so I have no wish to karaoke again.
The one time I did karaoke, the song I picked was System of a Down's BYOB.

I understand, though personally I prefer singing in front of a strange crowd. I just get a kick out of it, and I often get compliments about my performance (not so much about my singing, but more about the Freddie Mercury vibe I give off on-stage).

I do feel a bit of stage fright at first every night I go to a karaoke bar, so I usually start off with a down-to-Earth song I'm very familiar with, like:

Ive done BYOB before. Its fun, but fuck has it ruined my voice if Im not being careful.

The ones I consistently do are Uchuu Senkan Yamato theme and We Gotta Power from DBZ. Someone else will definitely pick Zankoku na Tenshi (the Evangelion theme), so I never do, but I definitely like singing it.

I would like to do Breathing by Yellowcard, but I pretty much always chicken out when I want to do karoake. I mean isn't it arragont to think anyone would enjoy my singing?
