Its a a bit telling when, for example, that the people behind the live adaptation of One Piece had to come out and say there wouldnt be anything between Nami and Zoro. Bit of an odd example, I know, as I dont think there was anything in the anime so it shouldnt be expected but people were already clamoring on social media for a romance between them. But graphic, detailed sex scenes usually just take me out of whatever im watching, and rarely serve any sort of purpose. I also notice a lot of older films have really forced romantic plots.
