Who doesn't love TITS? Anyway, now that I'm done with WitchSpring R, at least until the DLC, I just spent like $400 on these games so I'm gonna get my money's worth. I haven't decided if I'll do Nayuta yet.

I actually had this game on PS Vita or something like that but it's been so long I may as well start over.

In the interest of time I'll just be playing on normal and not trying to 100% everything.

I plan to address this issue by not doing that.

I'm planning on marathoning the whole series when I finish Reverie and Nayuta in preparation for Daybreak.

The achievement for finding all the different conversations with those two guys is so fickle and annoying to get. You really dodge a bullet by ignoring it.

TITS was one of the games I got a PSP for. Toes worth it. Its a shame 2 and 3 didn't get a physical release in the US. Part 1 came with some cool swag.

Also check out the Anime. Its pretty fun

These games aren't really that long.

TITS FC is 40 hours
TITS SC is 50 hours
TITS 3 is 33 hours
Zero is 40 hours
Azure is 45 hours
Cold Steel 1, 2, 3, 4 is about 60 hours each
Reverie is 40 hours

It might take me slightly longer because I'm not exactly beelining for the end of the game but these games seem to all be pretty average jrpg length. And none of them are sandboxy type games where you can just dump hundreds of hours doing random shit.

I can probably beat them all before daybreak english gets released.

I finished the Sky trilogy, and stopped there because the Crossbell games hadn't been translated officially at the time. I'm assuming that's no longer the case, correct? I should jump back in.

Daybreak is the only one that hasn't been translated yet and it's coming next year. If you own the Japanese version on Steam you get the English version for free when it's ready.

I don't know what the status is for the entire Legend of Heroes series is.

There's 2 games without official English releases for the series as of now. Kuro/Daybreak 1 and 2. That's it. The next game hasn't been announced yet. Presumably the next games will be Sky/Cold Steel levels because Kuro/Daybreak are the setup games like Zero and Azure.

I hope fishing in the sequel isn't as boring.

Fishing in the Sky trilogy and Crossbell games sucks. It's actually not that great until CS3 tbh because you don't need to mash or do some jank shit to catch fish.

I've been thinking about Ys minus the one game that isn't in English but I'm gonna want to take a break after this to catch up on CP2077 and Starfield. By then mods should be in a good spot.

I'll see how I feel about Ys after those.

I don't even remember most of the jokes from the chests. The ones I do remember are the ones in 3rd that don't have them. I know that's not a real spoiler, but some people are real fickle about it.

I enjoy the games.. Personally would love to see full remakes of the Sky Trilogy, Now to just patiently wait for Daybreak next year and its Sequel hopefully early 2025

funnily enuf i started this myself a few months back.. on cold steel 3 now.

on the topic of physical releases apparently trails in the sky 2 was 1 of 8 2 UMD psp games and the english script for it was longer than (seperately mind u not both things put together) both the entire lord of rings books (at the time at least) and war and peace iirc it clocked in around 710k words and the localization was apparently rather hellish

anyway I think I've had it for tonight. I also don't know how much I'll get to play tomorrow. With any luck I'll get this finished by the end of the week. Get started on SC before halloween.

It's always been like this and is one of the main draws of the series. Have you been talking to all the NPCs? If not, you really should. It fleshes out the world so much, and their dialogue changes after each major story beat.

Yeah you can do this in pretty much any area with stairs; just crank the turbo up to max and rush up or down a set of stairs and you'll bypass the loading zone most of the time. Works in Zero and Azure as well.

Also if for any reason you play these games on consoles avoid playing Cold Steel 2 on the PS5. There's a cut scene where the game crashes 100% of the time you have to skip the cutscene.

I believe @Rika_Furude said it didn't happen to them? Maybe I'm wrong but someone on this board did say they played it on PS5 and it didn't crash.

I've been talking to a lot but not literally all of them. I do like seeing people like Alba show up in multiple chapters and different dialogues if you did certain things before story cutscenes happened. The random characters are cool too talking about random SOL stuff but I'm trying to get through the games quickly. I'm trying to do most of the missions & collect whatever food I can but I don't stress if I miss one and just keep going.

You really shouldn't rush these games imo. Take your time and savor it, you'll never be able to experience them for the first time more than once.
