She's also been the target of a lot of fire by the media and people on social media over this. I'm not going to list her name because I don't like the idea of people harassing her. To be fair, her comments were really unhinged. It's perfectly fine to be Pro-Palestine (I am), but to say you won't condemn the brutal murder of a thousand innocent civilians and all the other horiffic acts that happened a few days ago...that's not being pro-palestine. That's just....I can't even imagine what type of person could possibly think sending this message out would not lead to repercussions. The most controversial part of her statement issued immediately after the attack was, Israel bears full responsibility for this tremendous loss of life. This regime of state-sanctioned violence created the conditions that made resistance necessary. It used to be common sense that those (Israel) that blow up hospitals, schools, and murder children are evil. Just like conservative ideology is evil. Very straightforward. But things change when you add in the fact that the perpetrators were descendants of victims of the worst ethnic cleansing in history, coupled with the fact that Islam is bad, and that the victims are scary and wicked brown people, and facts become hazy. The hivemind temporarily collapses in on itself before it re-forms. "This war crime is worse than that war crime and if you support this war crime instead of that war crime, you are evil!"
