We say it like Blair Witchproject. Like Blair is the adjective and Witch Project is the noun.

It's a project about the Blair Witch. We should say Blairwitch Project. Almost like sandwich.

I don't know what everyone else is going on about. When you emphasize certain words in a phrase/title, it makes the spacing between them sound different. Now, I'm not a linguist, so I can't say whether there is a different in spacing, or if it's some kind of auditory effect, but can people not hear that when you say aloud "Blair WITCH Project" there is a slightly longer space between Blair and Witch than when you say "BLAIR Witch Project"?

That doesn't even seem like a very good example tbh.

I think it's just how the syllables end. The r at the end of Blair could easily blur with the W at the beginning of witch, so you need to give a slight space to separate the words. Meanwhile, the ending and beginning of Witch and Project are solid enough that there is no need for that slight pause.

Yeah this. Not that I talk about this movie often but I've never heard anyone pronounce the title this way, and saying it to myself right now it's definitely closer to Blairwitch than witchproject.

Actually thinking back to my... one linguistics course, what OP might be noticing is the aspirated [p] in project. And it's true that when I say this movie's title, I use an unaspirated [p] for project. So idk maybe he's onto something.

(If you don't know what I'm talking about, put your hand in front of your mouth and say "pit" then "spit". You should feel a puff of air when pronouncing the p in pit but not in spit.)

Blairwitch Project is also wrong. It should be Blair Witch Project, which is how everyone says it.

What about Last Action Hero?

It tends to be pronounced as if it refers to a Hero of 'Last Action' (whatever that means), rather than an Action Hero who is the Last of his kind. Really, it should have a 'The' in front of it.
