Why the hell did you include Taiwan in that list?

You know it's a developed country with a decent standard of living and totally not comparable to the other 3 countries you mentioned right?

Thats the real point. It cant be expected to be the best at everything, but it has no business being as regressive as it is in some ways. The richest country in the world (is it, or just close?) and leader of the free world shouldnt have people dying to preventable disease due to predatory privatised healthcare.

Offhand I thought circumcision rates might have been similar in the US to other developed countries, but I dont have the data on hand so that was an assumption.

I oppose the practice, Ive just never heard it being done for the reason you said. But thats just me. Cleanliness benefit is definitely a lie though, as you said.

All I know is that my mother once said she considered having me circumcised and I recall that my father was. This is in Australia. I think she just considered it normal, as were not a religious household, nor do I think there were any demonstrable medical reasons (else they would have done it).

Thats anecdotal, but its the reason why I assumed Australia was big on it too (since we tend to copy some of the USs worse practices)

I'm honestly curious were you think that the US is better does better than Germany and Switzerland, because nothing in daily live comes to mind.

I have never been in the US, so I have no idea what it could be.

I'm 100% sure that he is talking about the "legal age" of sexual consent.

As an European I can't join any US discussion about that without getting thrown into the pedophilia / libertian / "It's not pedophilia it's <whatever it's called>" bucket.
