In the case of Foreman it seemed like he really was just curious what it would make them do. He chooses Chase, but let's be real, he was always gonna choose Chase even without him showing his colors under pressure. So the whole thing was pretty inappropriate. He couldn't just accept the responsibility of cutting a staff member or quitting if he hates the Chairman that much. It also probably jeopardized the treatment of this girl.
