Bears lead 30-27 with 10 seconds remaining. 3rd down and 10 on the 20 yard line. They go for the kneel down to end the game, but they fumble it, Commanders grab it, run it in for a touchdown. Game over.

I'm not worried about the yardage. I just want to see a concerted effort to use Moore as a deep threat instead of seeing Fields throw a ton of passes at or behind the line.

It has been 2 weeks in a row. Moore went 8 catches off 9 targets for 131 yards last week too. He's had 32 targets the last 4 weeks.

Technically it's only been 4 days...!

But yeah, it's amazing how much better Chicago's offense has looked now that they're actually using Moore properly

Glad they got even a little something for Claypool. Obviously disaster of a trade, but at least Poles cut bait and found a team to do even a small pick swap with.

In the two games Claypool was a healthy scratch, Fields has gone 43/64 for 617 yards, 8 TDs and 1 INT. Granted, last week was Denver, but Washington pushed Philly pretty hard last week, and Fields and Moore went off on them anyway. No idea how the rest of the season will go, but hopefully they keep feeding Moore hard, which will open the door for Mooney and Kmet. The mini bye will hopefully get some of their secondary back too.

I haven't done any research into this, but that has to have been one of the worst passing teams in the modern NFL.

Still the only franchise that doesn't have a 4000 yard passer, ever. Though if Fields keeps stacking performances like the last two, he could potentially do it. On pace for just under 3900 currently I believe.

Jay Cutler last played for the Bears in 2016. That's not that long ago!

Oh I mean I'm positive the Bears as a whole are the worst passing franchise. But, I meant specifically last year. The 2022 Bears have to be the worst passing offense in the modern NFL, right?

I did a quick Google search but I'm not sure anyone compiles stats that depressing. They have the fewest passing yards last year by 300 (Atlanta, the second worst team, also has another 300 yard gap between them and the third worst team). But I can't really find much in terms of all time futility.

Looking it up, he passed for 3800 in 2014 and started 15 games, so I wouldn't be surprised if the one game he missed was the last one.

Yep, Trestman benched Cutler 1 game for JIMMY CLAUSEN which kept him from breaking the 4000 yard mark. This is also the year after signing Cutler with the 7 year $126 million contract for added hilarity.
