Now I swear everyone is constantly wanting dubs and refusing to buy or watch anything that doesn't have them. Then they bitch about how shitty they are. After more research, it seems like people are just mad that the localized pronunciation has remained the same over the years and are insistent on keeping the Japanese/Gaelic pronunciation. Which, fair point if that's what you wanna do, but being surprised the localization is sticking to their guns on some things is a bit silly.

Like, Midgar Zolom was actually supposed to be Midgarsormr, but I see nobody complaining that localization screwed that up and calling out cultural erasure. (Though tbh if they do change it to the correct name in Rebirth that'll be odd considering the Cait Sith stuff.)

the correct pronunciation is whatever square says it is because caith sith's name isn't from the real world it's from the FF7 world that as a different accents and culture
it doesn't have to be pronounce correctly because the correct way doesn't exist in the game
