I voted for Super Paper Mario as its a great underrated game I have the fondest personal memories of even if TTYD might be technically better. Of course the original is a classic, Colour Splash is underappreciated, Origami King is great. What a good five game series. Just those five good games, nothing else.

I haven't played most of them but I'm a staunch PM1 > TTYD kind of person

Interesting that Color Splash has 2 votes while Origami King has 0. I haven't heard nearly as much praise for Color Splash

The thing with CS is, it got immediately written off for not being as much of a return to the old style as people wanted then approximately 0 people played it because it was a late Wii U game that never got a Switch port. It has its flaws but theres a lot of really good stuff in that game. Huey is probably the best of the assistant characters, the writing was a return to form even if the overall plot was basic, the second to last boss battle is absolutely one of the best in the series and some of the set pieces are great. But hey, nobody played it. Overall I think those positives make it a prime choice to be seen as an underrated favourite, and while I dont think its an amazing game it is pretty underrated.

Bug Fables just has so many QOL things going for it that the two original PMs don't. TTYD vs. PM is interesting. TTYD has better features about it, but I never liked the chapters nearly as much as PM.
