They try it on 682 with a short story called something like "There Was a Monster Whose Special Ability Was the Power to Kill 682 on Sight." They put it and 682 in a room... and not only did it not erase him, the story was rewritten to "There Was Once An Epic Battle Between 682 and The Monster Whose Special Ability Was the Power to Kill 682 on Sight - and 682 Won." It's even immune to destiny-altering magic. Of course the meta purpose of 682 is that he's the one entity the Foundation wants to kill, no questions asked, rather than contain, so of course it's poetry that they can't actually figure out a way to do so. --- "The US is not a single country.
