I don't know why people thought XIII was weak, the cast is one of the game's very few unanimous strong points and they've gotten in this position twice recently.

I can't believe Vanille did it. I remember when I first started participating in these, ot seemed like Lightning would never win. Now Light, Fang, and Vanille have all won! Thank you to everyone who made this run possible.

In contests where I've voted for more than just the finals, I am now 1-7 in voting for the winner (my lone win was Tidus over Kefka, where my 10 votes actually mattered in the result, so at least there's that).

I would guess disinterest. The votes probably would've been there if Aerith makes it, whether for or against her.

it was a fight, Vanille was often leading until the night vote, but Locke maintained a good lead in unique savers so at that point in time he liked like a likely winner.

... Sunday was devastating. If you look at the day in PST time, Locke picked up a grand total of 4 new savers - one being Genny who was already in the hole for Vanille (last one of the day was Martin who reached his breaking point). Vanille in the same day picked up 13 fresh savers.

Dang I thought Locke had the better shot.

Would have been a very medium win for me, so I guess if I play ffxiii there's a chance I'll like this result later on.

my early prediction was that Locke was going to lose because Vanille's smaller number of savers had higher averages

Vanille dipping below Locke's saves per savers at h30 is because she added so many new savers starting fresh, while Lockes are running out of steam. And then those new savers caught back up by the next check-point.

versus Kefka they were close in both, Kefka slightly nudged ahead savers & motivation, they ultimately ended <10 saves away, the difference of Kefka's saver lead

versus Ramza... literally same #s of unique savers albeit flipped, but Aeris felt defeated and Ramza savers running on a high (note just 0.01 more saves/saver than Vanille). Result, 60-point defeat

each of the Aerith finals would pull in like a dozen B8 randos just for the finals, mostly turning out for her. Don't think any of them showed this time other than a few saves from Jesse_Custer, and previous regulars who don't participate anymore like Snake5s and TexWolf.

I'll have some updated Finals Saving stats sometime later but Robazoid is indeed right, he is the only user who's 6-0 in finals saving in the leftyera. Though iirc my finals stats didn't include the Fang year since they weren't logged so maybe we'll have another 5-0 or two... we shall see!
