I saw an ad for that the other day, it looked interesting. Might watch it, how are the jump scares? Cant stand movies with lots of cheap jump scares (recent-ish example: Smile) so I might skip it if so.

I didn't think the jump scares were too bad. A lot of times you first see the aliens in shadows in the distance trying to sneak up slowly on the main character.

In the last couple years, I've starting making horror movie lists and seeing how many of the movies I can get through each October. My lists are movies I've either never seen or saw once back in high school and have nearly forgotten.

This year's list:
Return of the Living Dead
Buffy the Vampire Slayer(movie)
Once Bitten
Terrified 2
Sleepaway Camp 1
Evil Dead (2013)
Children of the Corn 2
Children of the Corn 3
Alien 3
House of 1000 Corpses
The Devil's Rejects
3 from Hell
Lost Boys
Poltergeist

Last year's movies:
Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein
Alien
Aliens
Beetlejuice
The Conjuring
Event Horizon
The Fly (1986)
Hocus Pocus
The Slumber Party Massacre
Maniac (1980)
The Thing
Videodrome
The Blob (1988)

Hush looks...super familiar to the point where I feel like I watched it, but nah. Haven't. Will though. Thanks. Adding it to my list for this year probably. Have seen It Follows. Very good. And I watched (and rewatched) every Scream movie last year. 1's an all timer, especially for my boy Matthew Lilard. Even if bad movies like 13 Ghosts he shines. Dead Man's Curve's another one I probably liked a lot more cause he was in it, but I remember that being a real solid late 90s movie, though that's more of a thriller from what I remember. Also Finder's Fee. All those late 90s early 00s movies when I was like 12 with HBO lol.

Seen all 6 of those. Trick 'r Treat's such a good Halloween time movie man. Oculus was surprisingly good and there's one scene that always stayed with me. The lightbulb. Babadook was good, but kinda got it over hyped by people before I watched it. The Shining's in my top 3 horror movies ever and possibly #1. I wasn't crazy about Insidious back when it came out, but a lot of people really like it. Maybe I should give it a second go.

As for the second list I just wanna add Coraline.

@Zithers Lotta good stuff here. Never heard of Cure though. Is that 1997? Repulsion's a classic. Not sure I've watched Videodrome start to finish so maybe I should. Like Suspiria, but did love the remake. Diabolique 1955? Might be fun to add some real old stuff to my marathon. Which Innocents you talking about? The 2021 one is already on my list to watch. The Haunting's one of my favorites. Watched it multiple times. Pulse 2001? Never heard of it, but will check it out. Birds is a classic. Never actually seen Possession, but I probably should. you got the years correct for everything but the innocents which is '61.

i havent actually seen pulse but its by the same guy who made cure, which is outstanding, and i know some people prefer pulse. and yeah diabolique is great. eyes without a face and peeping tom would make for a good 1960 double feature (or triple with psycho :0). i think an american remake also happened. same guy made wages of fear which is good too but not horror (also with an american remake - sorcerer).
