If he only gets 3 out of 5000, he is probably doing something really wrong with his profile and/or he really narrowed down his settings.

I might swipe 25-50 times a day at the most and I get one match per week. So maybe 1 match out of 100-350 swipes a week. Granted that's not a lot but any means. I'm not in the 10% and most matches I get I'm not attracted to.

Coffee Meets Bagel is better if he's looking for a relationship.

In general I'd highly recommend getting a subscription with dating apps too, cause the free ones are rigged to get you less noticed.

Yeah dating apps in general are shit and Tinder is the worst of the worst. IIRC the male to female ratio is 5 to 1 or something. And that's based on the number claiming to be female. Considering that app is supposedly littered with bots, the real numbers are probably even worse.

Let me also say that if you want to get laid or have a one night stand, then meet ups or hobbies are a bad way to get this done.

1. Meeting people through hobbies doesn't work. People are there for that..their hobbies. Thats no guarantee that said hobby will have a plethora of people you are attracted to, that take part in it. Furthermore, you can even be reported or get a complaint filed against you if someone realizes that the reason you're in said hobby or group, is to date.
2. Getting to know their friends is a fruitless exercise. Their friends may not like you, or care for you. And if said original person doesn't like you, they can relay this info to their friends. Their friends also have no obligation or right to help you get a date, or be in a relationship. It's also using someone to get a date. Which makes no sense because in the end, you're taking a massive risk.

Online dating is objectively better because
A. You can frame yourself however you want. And put stock into as attractive as you can be through photos
B. if someone isn't interested in you, you could literally move on instantly.
C.Going on a date doesn't take potentially weeks or months because you both know what you came there for

These are modern times. Modern times mean most people are exposed to social media. Only fans. Get their attention elsewhere.

Dating apps aren't meant to be the entirety of your dating life. They're supposed to supplement it.

B. Have a casual relationship
C. Have a potential long term relationship

Dating apps dont require you to have 6000 hobbies and the off chance of a person you find attractive that is also into you.

Do you people actually think that society hasn't changed and that the standards haven't even remotely increased? That instagram, twitter, and platforms where people get attention are nonexistent?

Times are changing. Standards are raised. Social Media is a thing. You can meet people through various means online or on any online platform rather than taking a silly risk by approaching random people or joining sports clubs you have no interest in. If you have a guy who just wants to get laid, you would have him spend weeks or months talking to someone, rather than him going on a dating site where both parties can be upfront about their intentions.

Work harder, not smarter is the ideology of people who think dating apps are not a main platform

You actually highlighted the problem I'm talking about. Entering in with the mindset of "oh boy if I join this stupid club I'm gonna meet girls" is setting yourself up for failure

Dating apps are also better because if I get rejected, I can move onto another person easily. If I feel someone is uninteresting or boring, then I can move on.

I work 60 hours a week with few actual hobbies that lead to socializing and I'm nearly at the "fuck it" point myself with apps, lol

True. I do believe dating apps work but it helps a ton if you have a social life. This makes you more interesting and you can also meet people that way. Dating apps are a good augment but shouldn't be the sole source.
