For example GOW Ragnorak I should be able to skip right to the first boss fight.

All cutscenes and tutorials should be skippable period. Unskippable cutscenes really hurt a game's replay appeal.

Replaying the beginning segment of Persona 5 is a huge slog. Well the other games in the series too, but 5 definitely much more.

It'd be nice to be able to start FFX at the beginning of Mi'ihen Highroad. I can't really say that for any other game in the series that I've played - they all let you jump right into the action. Some at a slower pace than others but all of them far ahead of FFX.

What's worse than an unskippable cutscene? An "interactive" cutscene where all you do is walk forward slowly and listen to NPCs deliver dialog.

Just give me a cutscene instead instead of this tripe.

Yea but FFX had no new game+ tho.
But even a simple cutscene skip like they have on FFX-2 would help a lot.

Actually you're playing a Sony exclusive so the tedium is exactly what you signed up for.

Yeah I was more elaborating on my own point about replay value than the topic itself.
Imagine FFX with new game+ though. There's actually a pseudo-NG+ bug in the original version where you glitch your way past the Al Bhed blocking the entrance to (destroyed) Home, triggering all those story events again. Not sure if that breaks the game somewhere down the line.

And your walking speed is slightly faster or slower than the NPC's so you either are lagging behind, or running ahead and waiting for them to catch up.

The intro is the least of the slow-ass filler when talking about Ragnarok.

Some kind of "Would you like to skip this segment?" Option would be ideal. Midnight Suns NG+ is a damn chore until you get rolling again.

My number one critique with Sekiro is how even in NG+ and beyond, you still get tutorial prompts.

Unskippable scenes are terrible. One of my biggest gripes in Honkai Star Rail is having to just mash the screen because Hoyo seems to think that everyone gives a flying fuck about the story

Just make it so you have an option to skip or pause the cutscene. Like I usually see games say Are you sure you want to skip the scene? or something, which will pause it until you choose yes or no. Since I know sometimes people want to watch but something comes up.

Unskippable credits should also be banned.

I think Borderlands 3 did it.
