me i like them with whole wheat bread a lot sof velveta original cut off a block of cheese

made ina sandwhich maker and cooked to the point the cheese is pure liquid

pepper jack and ham. damn, havent made one of those for awhile. might make one tonight. oh shit, and some tomato soup to go with it

2 Kraft Singles on some buttered White Italian. Maybe a Crack of black pepper in-between the cheese slices.

With a nice spreading of dill pickle hummus

White bread, processed American cheese, butter. No need to get fancy with grilled cheese

Sourdough, cheddar, havarti, mozzarella, Swiss, and just a little Blue. Slow grilled until the outside is super crispy.

Butter, nature's own butterbread, two slices of cheese, and between the slices, just a tiny bit of garlic salt and thyme.

Spread mayo on the outside of the bread, two slices of cheese (cheddar jack is my go-to), air fry at 360F for 7 minutes, flipping halfway, flip again when its done, sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning, air fry for 1 more minute, cut diagonally, eat.

I like the ones my friend made. Whenever I try making grilled cheese it looks all fucked up and tastes different idk what I'm doing wrong.

Any of y'all ever had grilled peanut butter sandwiches? My sister's friend back in 1992 or 1993 made some for me and it's great. Haven't made it myself in over 20 years but I've been thinking about it a lot recently whenever I make grilled cheese.

I like a tuna melt, which is just a grilled cheese with tuna salad in it.

I play it by ear depending on what cheese and lunch meat we have handy. Usually though use olive oil mayo then use some seasoning on the mayo for some extra.

Going to get a bit of hate for this... .Wonder Bread, 2 slices of kraft singles, margarine both sides and a tiny bit of chipotle aioli inside. Butter is expensive where I live, so we mainly use margarine.

6-8 slices of American cheese (SR brand usually)
Butter

Keep it on the pan about 2.5 min before flipping. Rinse and repeat every 30 sec until melted.

Whole wheat bavarian roll and aged Gouda.

Add stone-ground farmers mustard, too (the kind with the cracked mustard seeds still in the mustard).

As far as I'm concerned, they're pretty much interchangeable in most cases.

Whole wheat, sharp cheddar, and a little cheese on the outside. Prefer cooking spray over butter.

Finally decided to make grilled peanut butter sandwiches again for lunch.

Two buttered slices of wheat, though almost any 'unflavored' bread would do (like no cinnamon raisin), on a frying pan with swiss or havarti, though any cheese is good. Served with a side of tomato soup.

White or Italian bread and butter. Use a combination or Provolone and Cheddar cheese. Alternative cheese choices can be Colby jack, American or Muenster if available. I put a little pepper on the inside.

I've tried using Mayonnaise instead of butter, didn't find a huge difference.

I havent had just grilled cheese since I was a child. As an adult I would prefer grilled ham and cheese, and my preference was ham and Swiss. But due to stomach issues I no longer eat dairy. Had to give it up in my early 40s.

My ideal grilled cheese uses a few distant common sliced cheeses (stuff you find in the cheese section of grocery stores in the USA) with some tomato slices. Whatever cheap sandwich bread, of which Im more likely to buy wheat.
