makes me wonder why the Cowboy Bebop adaptation was such a trash fireBecause the owner didn't maintain creative control. Thus creating the same problem as the witcher. Netflix is actually pretty terrible at adaptations, they've actually failed every single one of them because they never like to follow the source material. --- He who stumbles around in darkness with a stick is blind. AltOmega2 posted... makes me wonder why the Cowboy Bebop adaptation was such a trash fire Probably because the One Piece adaptation doesn't try to do a 1:1 recreation of the characters + plot and doesn't have the characters try to do all the crazy anime-style poses and behaviors, instead they act more like humans albeit in an exaggerated setting, if that makes sense. I consistently got really invested into the plot only to almost get whiplash(in a good way) when someone used their special powers or someone with bizarre outfit was appeared with no warning. yeah the love for the series really shone through in this show, there were a lot of changes but because they were made by people who get what one piece is about and not some rando trying to gut the story for time it all works out, seeing stuff like garp meeting zeff at baratie and kuro as a slasher villain are really fun takes and not just "story different, no time!!!"

One Piece Live Action Adaptation Renewed for a second season. This doesn't necessarily mean much, because there have been other shows in the past that get preemptively renewed early in their season, then retroactively cancelled later on. For example: https://variety.com/2023/tv/news/the-peripheral-canceled-amazon-season-2-renewal-1235700019 That being said, I haven't heard anything really terrible about One Piece, so in this case it'll probably get its second season without any unexpected reversals. Cruddy_horse posted... I figured it already was considering they teased the next arc at the end. This doesn't necessarily mean much either, because tons of shows have teased something or outright cliffhangered in their season finale only to have the show get cancelled and never resolve it. --- "Wall of Text'D!" --- oldskoolplayr76 "POwned again." --- blight family ...
